We played DECAPOLICE at the Tokyo Game Show last year and absolutely loved it, but the game was delayed until 2026 earlier today. That's not a typing error by the way: the detective title, originally due in 2024, will now skip 2025 entirely. It's still scheduled for PS5 and PS4, but we can't see it launching on Sony's last-gen system at this point.

"For DECAPOLICE, we’re developing systems for a large open world, and preparing to release the anime and game at the same time," explained LEVEL-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino, as reported by Gematsu. "We are thrilled to have MARiA sing the theme song — a true diva whose power matches that of the protagonist Harvard — adding a dramatic flair to the performance. Both the visuals and the content of the game are being improved, as we’re evolving it into an even more engaging experience. That also means we’ll need more time to finish it, though. DECAPOLICE is now scheduled for release in 2026."

There is a new trailer embedded above, and it still looks amazing. It's just a shame it's so far away.
