Black Myth; Wukong PS5 PlayStation

Black Myth: Wukong surprised many earlier this year when it impressed players, selling an astonishing 20 million copies and all but ensuring a sequel from developer Game Science. If you didn't pick it up, or you fancy a double-dip, word on the street is that PS5 physical editions are extremely imminent, potentially available as soon as today.

The developer announced on X that the fully mastered disc is complete and that a physical PS5 edition will soon be available. Going several steps further, the ever-reliable insider, billbil-kun, says that physical copies will be available from 21st October (today) in the U.S. for $64.99 and will be available in Europe soon after.

In fairly dramatic scenes, Black Myth was the source of some controversy, with conflicting reports suggesting that Sony did or did not sign some sort of exclusivity deal to keep the game on PlayStation. We still don't know the whole story, but Microsoft did since say the game's indefinite delay on Xbox has nothing to do with technical limitations; the entire situation is strange.

Would you monkey around with a physical copy of Black Myth: Wukong on PS5? Will Game Science wrack up another couple of million sales with a physical release? Let us know in the comments section below.
