Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will be getting its first post-launch update later this month. As revealed by the official Dragon Ball Games Twitter account, the patch is planned for a late October release, and it'll feature a handful of adjustments.
One of these promised changes is getting much more attention than the others, though. We don't have the specifics yet, but Yajirobe is going to be tweaked. And by tweaked, we mean that he's probably going to be nerfed into the ground.
Chances are, if you've been playing Sparking! Zero online against other players, you'll have come against the scourge that is Yajirobe. Canonically — and in terms of stats — he's one of the weakest characters in the entire game, but he has a unique ability that can be completely abused by competent players.
Basically, Yajirobe can fully recover his health by eating a senzu bean. To pull this off, he needs to have saved up five skill points — the maximum amount — but that's not a huge problem since you gain skill points faster when you take damage.
Now, while Yajirobe needs a couple of seconds to actually eat the senzu bean, decent players will simply smash their opponent away and then chow down. This can lead to a scenario where he's borderline invincible — and it's an even bigger issue when he's picked as part of a team battle.
Anyway, it sounds like a fix is fast approaching. The update will also reduce the difficulty of some story mode fights — but only when you've already knocked the difficulty down. Great Ape Vegeta's reign of tyranny will continue...
