Helldivers 2 has been added to the list of All PS5 Pro Enhanced Games, as the Arrowhead Studios community manager Twinbeard confirms via Discord there'll be "differences between the current PS5 and the Pro versions". However, it does sound like this PS5 Pro patch might not be ready for the console's release on 7th November 2024 because "what those [differences] are is yet to be confirmed".
Helldivers 2 on base PS5 offers a Performance and Quality Mode, with the former running at 60 frames-per-second at a 1080p resolution while the latter halves the frame rate for 1728p. So far, developers have been using the PS5 Pro to upgrade the modes already offered on the base system, and also implementing new features like ray tracing. It's possible Arrowhead Studios may do the same, offering 60fps in its Quality Mode or upgrading the resolution of the Performance Mode. We'll need to await more details from the team to see how the co-op shooter is enhanced on PS5 Pro.
