Bloodborne Server Maintenance Scheduled for PlayStation's 30th Anniversary

Half Life 3 and Metal Gear Solid remake up next, I CAN FEEL IT.

Man I’d love a remaster to be announced. It has to be time!

I still say it’ll be a PS6 launch title. Hope I’m wrong, but that’s my gut feeling.

I'm not even a fan of Bloodborne, but I do love these articles and the way they're written 😅 I want to be apart of the sadomasochistic crowd!

At this point, if theres not a show the 3rd, its just mean.

@Balaam_ I genuinely back this. I think it makes sense that Sony have avoided pushing any kind of remaster to this point, or even 60fps patch, due to full investment in a 'from-the-ground-up' remake.

Also, Bluepoint have been incredibly quiet since Sony's acquisition of them...

I genuinely didn’t even realize that Bloodbourne had “performance issues” until a couple years ago when people calling for a remaster was plastered absolutely everywhere.

Played it back in 2016 and it was a 10/10 game. I would absolutely lose it if they announced a Bloodbourne 2 but really don’t have interest at all in some kind of remaster.

Probably a PS5 Pro patch or something

Sony has never even considered a remaster/60fps patch for this game. We are just trolling ourselves. We are living in a simulation.

Bloodborne was my first physical PS4 game that i bought after i got a PS4 back in 2015 and i still have the copy. But as much as i love the game, i never feel the need for a remaster.

People made a fuss about the frame pacing and one of the reason why it needs a remaster. But i never feel any problems with my 80 hours playingtime with the game outside the kinda long loading screen.

So it's a bit funny to see people still expecting for Bloodborne remaster / PC port and then got dissapointed from rumors.

NEWS FLASH.... Sony just announced on their blog that they plan to turn of Bloodborne servers on Dec 3. Apparently Sony explain a lack of gamer engagement as the reason.

Sorry... it couldn't be helped... you can breath now.

I said it earlier, at this point Push Square just take any far fetched rumour to troll us about BB. Not nice.

Until you at least cleared Father Gascoigne you haven't really tasted the sweetness that is Bloodborne. And that is nothing compared to the entire journey. It may not be for everyone, but if you give it time, you won't regret it.
Don't be so fast to write it off.

Just give me a 60fps patch..I can wait for a remake/remaster but just give us a bloody 60fps patch...

@themightyant yep! Hierarchy of hype for me would be:
60fps addition < Remaster < Bluepoint Remake < Sequel
But literally any of those would make me happy.

@EfYI You said the beginning was boring so my guess is you only played the game like 10 minutes, died for the first time by the beast, then you got angry and stop playing? Or you reach the townsquare and got bodied by the towns mob or the executioner?

I mean. It's weird to see someone said the beginning of Bloodborne is boring when the beginning is that time when players has a lot of questions like what the hell is happening with Yharnam, why the player got blood transfusion, who's that old man in wheelchair, who created the Doll and why she's in Hunter Dreams, etc etc which is enough motivation for players to keep playing and found out the answers.

Heck, even when players played long enough to get some answers, the game has multiple ending and plenty of optional / secret stuff that could change players perception about what's really happening with Yharnam.

Not to mention the fast pace combat without a shield to block & turtling instead you got a blunderbuss and saw cleaver that pushed players to keep the offensive while parrying / dodging enemies attack is not even close to the word 'boring'.

But eh, i guess some people just doesn't like Souls games...

Looking at that image - just imagine what would become of this game if it was ever released on PC, and get in the hands of the modding community.

I love the aesthetic of Bloodborne but I hate soulslikes so there’s little interest for me regarding any remake or a sequel. I still have nightmares of fighting the Bloodstarved Beast and dying…dying…dying.

Well we did get Shenmue 3 after years of praying so who knows, stranger things have happened!

Bluepoint, who did the Demon Souls remaster, have been working on an undisclosed Sony Remaster since they finished DS. I saw the other day they're now working on a game of their own, so that suggests the remaster is done.

I'm not saying it was BB, but it just might have been, don't get your hopes up though.

@mkr Reports said Sony wanted Blue Point to work on a remster/remake but Blue Point Refused and instead got greenlit to make an original I.P.
So they never did any remaster after Demon's Souls.
This was reported by many newssites, even Push Square if I remember correctly.

@EfYI So my guess is right that you got killed in the towns square, which is understandable since i also died a couple of times in that spot by the towns mob or the executioner (giant guy with big axe). Pass that point you will face dogs, werewolf, and the 1st optional boss.

Well, i hope someday you give Bloodborne a second chance and don't feel ashame to use walkthrough / guide too (i also used it at some point lol).

@KidRyan Season 1 is effectively the warm up act before the show really takes off, so if you're enjoying it now then seasons 2, 3, 4 will blow you away. Seasons 5 and 6 have a slight step back, but they're still some of the best TV I've ever seen.

Same with adult animation, but I had a friend who was obsessed with it tell me to watch it as it's the most realistic exploration of various mental health issues she'd ever seen and yep, that's exactly what it is. Injected with a healthy dose of surrealism, witty wordplay, and genuine comedy.

I've actually started my re-watch, five episodes into season 1 now, and it's probably even better than first time around. Hope you continue to enjoy it!

@Zeke68 There's a Digital Foundry interview with Bluepoint about the DS remaster, just after it came out, and in it they say they were working on another remaster when John asked them if they were going to work on their own game.

Whatever that was, it doesn't seem to have surfaced, maybe it was cancelled?

@mkr That was the Uncharted one they ended up refusing to do so Sony let them make an original I.P instead. (Rumors say its a new Syphon Filter game)

@Zeke68 Ah ok, shame. I just don't understand why it seems complicated to them to just get Bluepoint to do a remaster of BB and make it multiplatform? It's hardly a risk, it would sell millions and millions of copies... :S

@mkr Yes you would think so, but they rather chase their liveservices dreams, like Concorde for example.

@mkr But I think Bluepoint has two teams now, I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere a little while ago. So hopefully they have, and surprises us all with a BB reveal in the near future.
