Helldivers 2's Death Star-esque Democracy Space Station is now fully operational, ready to deliver cosmic amounts of destruction to both bug and bot. This vaunted "Weapon of Mass Liberation" has already successfully been used to destroy "a small moon" and awaits new firing solutions.
Super-patriots will be able to cast their vote from the Galactic Map, determining its location and which "Tactical Actions" it should take in a democratic fashion. There are currently three Tactical Actions that can be employed. Planetary Bombardment will unleash "nonstop orbital bombardments", granting planetwide artillery support. Eagle Storm will deploy a swarm of Eagle fighters, able to provide "periodic Eagle airstrikes during missions". Finally, an Orbital Blockade will prevent enemy spacecraft from leaving a planet's atmosphere, preventing further incursions into the systems surrounding Super Earth.
What do you think of the Democracy Space Station? Does it sound like it could swing the eternal conflict one way or the other? Let us know in the comments section below.

Shoot dem buggies
@BiosNova you mean, liberate them? We liberate terminids from their non-democratic existence and we spill oil of the freedom hating automatons.
remember people, HD2 is an EA game, Early Access.
It is not feature full and we are all testing.
As we progress through the story, new game mechanics are being introduced, old ones ironed out. This cycle of galactic war and its story will see us feature full at the end - maybe xmas 2026?
Sony will be able to make a call then weather they want to publish the game for the next (NVidia based) XBOX. Once the game is feature full and out of EA. At full price, not $40.
@TheDudeElDuderino I choose to not remember any of that. Seems redundant now I'm playing it.
Cant blow up a planet..... pathetic....
The empire could destroy whole planets, and that was nearly 50 years ago.....
I would have expected at least an environmentally friendly method of destroying whole planets, if not entire solar systems by now!
Hmm I thought it was gonna be a massive HUB area. A bit of a shame but eh
@TheDudeElDuderino What nonsense 😂No it isn't. It's an ever changing live service shooter like Destiny, The Division etc. Sony don't allow early access/game previews to be released on their ecosystem. Helldivers 1 still gets updates/has an ongoing war.
@TheDudeElDuderino They never claimed it was an early access game so no it isn't.
@Smash41 Small point, but there have been some select Early Access games on PlayStation. Palworld is early access. Temtem was also on PSN in EA before it reached 1.0. I'm sure there have been a few others.
Just played two missions through the orbital bombardment. Absolutely hellish 😂 That's the most I've died/laughed in a single mission since launch.
Very cool. Pro patch when though
Re-downloaded this to try out the pro version. Great timing 😁
It's nuts. So, it's cool because you have a use for requisition and samples again once you max out everything since you donate those to the space station to unlock ita abilities, but the abilities are crazy. Last night, the space station's orbital bombardment was unlocked while I was playing. It was effectively a 380mm strategem that covered the whole map. Nowhere was safe. So much friendly fire.
I have no idea what I just read, but I am inspired to get a giant tattoo on my chest with lots of guns and symbols of freedom and democracy! 😂
I should definetly dive again....
I love managed democracy
It's not going down well because they hyped it up and players thought you'd would be able to access it and see other players ?????
Also maybe start a clan because someone found icons and names about levels for clans/groups but that hasn't happened. Also the bombardment literally doesn't stop the whole mission, it's supposed to showers 200mm around a player so really it sort of encourages each member to split up and you'll have this landing around you.
It should have been if the DSS is in orbit you get access to the stations Barrage cannons and can use the bigger better Barrage but it's got 2x extra Salvos and the blast radius is bigger. They also could have added a new Orbital Rail Cannon a bit like Rail strike but it's more powers a bit like something out of Command and Conquer bigger energy blast and has an explosion radius
@TheDudeElDuderino think you have the wrong game.
It was a full game on release.
They really could.of just left it as a fun co op game and it would of been done.
It's a lives service so they keep adding to the story so people keep coming back.
One of the rare few which isn't out staying it's welcome and the content they put out is pushing the story arc forwards.
Did the Biden canon miss fire or was it a psyop
@Bez87 and I think you never played Helldivers. Otherwise you would know what a feature full Helldivers2 would be. It is an early access in all qualities than officially categorizing it as such. But that's just Sony.
