Lorelei and the Laser Eyes has been nominated in the Best Indie Game category at The Game Awards, and between now and then, PS5 and PS4 players will get the opportunity to play it for themselves. Swedish developer Simogo has announced ports of the unique puzzler will arrive on 3rd December 2024, and you can catch a new trailer above.
This appears to be the same version as the base game that launched on Nintendo Switch and PC earlier this year, with no additional content or features. As we described it when the PEGI age ratings for the PS5, PS4 ports went public last week, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is a bit like classic Resident Evil without all the combat and enemies. It places the focus on solving eccentric puzzles throughout a vast mansion; this is the type of game where it's best to keep a pen and paper nearby so you can keep notes on what you find. This is all done with a very unique art style to boot.
A Metacritic rating of 88 is attached to the Nintendo Switch version, with our sister site Nintendo Life awarding an 8/10 rating. "Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is one of the most unique-looking games you'll see on the Switch, and it's got the substance to back up the style. Its heavy emphasis on puzzles and its refusal to throw players a bone when they need help may not be to everyone's tastes, but anyone up for a mental challenge in what's essentially an elaborate escape room will love it."

Been waiting for this one. Their previous game Sayonara Wild Hearts was an instant classic for me. While a completely different type of game, everything I've heard about Lorelei is it's of the same quality.
Always up for a puzzler (even after the Talos Principal 2 DLC kicked my bum)
Another one I've been itching to play all year, really pleased it's coming to PlayStation.
Trailer definitely piqued my interest.
I've heard good things about this one. Blessing g on kinda funny mentioned it seemed like the dark souls of puzzle games (although I would argue that's actually the witness)
