Sony and LEGO have now officially confirmed the new LEGO set based on the Horizon series that leaked last week. It is exactly as it was claimed: the set features Aloy, Varl, and the Shell-Walker and Sawtooth machines. Pre-orders are now live on the LEGO website ahead of a release on 1st March 2025, and it'll cost £39.99.

The set consists of 768 pieces, which when put together, create a Sawtooth machine 18cm high and 12cm long. You will get Aloy and Varl as individual figures, and the Shell-Walker can also be constructed. Alongside them, there are little bits of scenery like a chest, campfire, and grass. You can pose the arms and legs of the Shell-Walker, open its claws, and detach the cargo pod and energy shield. The Sawtooth can then have its jaw opened and certain body parts posed.
Of course, the announcement comes hot on the heels of the LEGO Horizon Adventures game release across PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. While it hasn't exactly set the world on fire yet, its replication of LEGO bricks is something to be admired, with the claims that you can recreate the entire game in real life. This new set will get you a long way to doing so.
You can't have it as a Christmas present, but will you grab this new LEGO Horizon set? Let us know in the comments below.

Nice but not as cool as the Lego tallneck.
I thought the Sawtooth in the bottom right picture was a Thunderjaw. They must be saving a large Thunderjaw up for the right time, right??
These are so cool
I guess it makes sense that they are kind of simplistic looking given the target audience but I can't help feel a bit disappointed in these.
Although to be honest, lego is so expensive I probably wouldn't buy them if they were more complex.
Very cool, and hopefully the start of a series. Being able to build all the machines would be great.
Lego based on a game based on Lego of a game...can they make a game based on this Lego?
@ThomasHL Horizon 3 or Online maybe?? Slaughterspine maybe? So many cool machines to make Legos off.
I hate the Shell walkers. Anyone who has HZD's platinum will know why.
@breakneck oh I know. Lol. Sidenote. I would buy a Thunderjaw in a heartbeat!
@Medic_alert I think at their rrps this set actually has a lower cost per brick than the tall neck.
At $39.99 it's cheaper than the game and looks like it could take as long to build it all as play thru the game so that's a win. Then afterward you can ply w/ the toys, then afterward display them on your shelf.
Price may be different in US though, their website couldn't find it. The Tallneck being "retired" does seem very shortsighted of them.

The tallneck already adorns the top of my bookshelf. I may need to get this just to add some more machines to the space, despite the fact I don't think these are as well-designed as the tallneck is. I'm guessing they're dumbing some of the designs down to keep the prices reasonable, which will be important if they truly try to broaden the Horizon lineup.
@MFTWrecks I don’t think it’s a question of dumbing down so much one of target markets. Tallneck is part of Lego Icons, and is a black box set aimed at “Adults” for display.
This set is a play set aimed at a younger audience in the more traditional Lego marketing and packaging style.
The set affiliated with the Lego game fits the tone of that game, and the Tallneck set was attached to HFW fitting the more grown up tone of the game.
The game was commissioned to make sets like these, if they plan to make more “adult” sets they don’t need to be attached to the Lego game.
