Original Article: If you're in the USA and missed out on the PS5 30th Anniversary console bundle, you may be in luck. Sony has provided a new window of opportunity to secure the special edition PS5 slim.
Over on PS Direct, the listing for the 30th Anniversary PS5 bundle has a new notice. "Not in stock? Please check back on Thursday 21st November from 9am PST," it reads.
So, if you're still in the market for this retro-flavoured console, it'll be available for purchase directly from Sony starting at 9am PST / 12pm EST.
To be clear, the limited edition 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro will not be restocked — just the slim PS5 bundle.
The 30th Anniversary PS5 bundle comes with the console itself (a slim model without a disc drive) and a DualSense controller, both coloured to match the PS1. The bundle also includes several bonus items, like a colour-matched disc drive cover, special cable ties, and a few other accessories. It retails for $499.99.
It's not clear if the console will be restocked at other retailers or if this is exclusive to PS Direct, but we'll add more to this article if we learn more.
Are you angling for a 30th Anniversary PS5 bundle with this restock? Get those refresh digits ready in the comments section below.

@species Kim is, like, my favourite Kardashian, so I know exactly how you feel.
Every PS5 is ugly - hoping someone with working eyes will design the PS6.
Question is, will they ever restock disc drives??
Sorry - the solution to flagging interest in console gaming is to sell consoles with no drive for more money... and nostalgia? Well, I suppose it is a strategy...
Seriously - when I saw that the bundle didn't include a drive, I gave up trying to work out what Sony felt about it's legacy... and the disrespect for its fan-base.
I just want a disc drive, smyths had them in stock this morning ,they lasted about 0.00001 of a second.
I managed to get one in my basket at 9:04am UK time on PlayStation Direct but by the time I had sorted billing details it wouldn’t let me continue and they had sold out. Couldn’t even get an Edge or Portal. Never came back in stock. Absolutely gutted, really really hope they at least give us a chance to buy the 30th Anniversary faceplates.
@sanderson72 the
black box records everything
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare even if you get one of these 30th Anniversary ps5s ,when you install a disc drive it's not gonna look like that anymore , grey console , white drive , ridiculous.
@lazarus11 It includes a grey disc drive cover.
@SoulChimera and yet somehow... no drive.
At least in Australia - they are still impossible to get. Would totally suck if you just wanted one for your PS5 slim digital.... but that's Sony for ya.
@species Mine is lovely. Just unboxed it
The pro 30th packaging I saw in a vid was great I was intrigued by the moulded base propping up the console. Bit when all is done mine reclines in the shadows of the TV cabinet so deep as to jut out the back and get some oxygen you can barely see it
@lazarus11 Wrong. The anniversary bundle comes with a grey plate so it all matches.
@sanderson72 , Yes, all PS5 models are ugly. There had to be at least 2 or 3 other designs that lost to the design used. I wonder what those passed over designs look like.
I waited and had hopes for the slim and then the Pro. One is smaller and ugly while the other is big, ugly, and the disc drive is extra. Then the classic colored slim model that is more expensive and again the disc drive is extra. Extra for the disc drive that has been in short supply.
Still rolling with my 4Pro that is a pretty black rectangle with a superior user interface, folders, background options, and, doggone it, also a web browser.
After trying many times unsuccessfully, I am going to try to get the controller one more time.
Let me reiterate my original comment, if it bait anyone, please let me know and ill gladly edit it further!!
> I personally dont find the Anniversary edition appealing, I think the white ps5 looks way better.
@sanderson72 i will disagree. Xbox is ugly, 0 design
I received my 30th anniversary Pro bundle today. It's beautiful.
@sanderson72 What's your opinion on the plain black rectangle that is the Series X? Or the 1980's AM radio looking Series S? I have both PS5 & Series X and to me the PS5 looks pretty darn nice compared to the boring black brick. Especially with Darkplates on.
I don't understand the point of PRO
expecting something more from it
What's the point of this when the Pro exists? If I'm buying another PS5 it's going to be a Pro or I'm just sticking with my original PS5. I got the black covers on it anyways so I think it looks good (for a PS5). As much as I like the anniversary look a "slim" is not worth buying by this point. I wasn't going to go out of my way or pay a premium for a Pro either, just don't see the need right now.
@Youreforthim My problem with the Pro is a lack of killer apps. This generation has been a real disappointment for me, especially when it comes to PS5 exclusive games. Why bother with getting the most powerful game console when there's hardly any games I care about that really take advantage of it in a noticeable way?
@SoulChimera my two 30th dualsenses arrived and hour ago! They look amazing
How do I add an photo from my phone to the comments on here?
@Danloki don't sell it to CEX! They offered me £25 for one of my 30th Anniversary Dualsense!
Mine just arrived today, I'm so happy I was able to get it.
(Sold out in 1 min in my local online store)
I hope that people who still want one, will get it now.
@Zemo55 You can't. No one wants to see your joypads.
@Zemo55 Haha, nice. That’s exactly what I was able to get too. Both supposed to be arriving today too.
@nicc83 jealous much 😀
@sanderson72 "Every PS5 is ugly"
When you play games are you looking at the console or the TV? What difference does it make what it looks like if is getting the job done?
If is because guest that visit you keep telling you how ugly it looks tell them to mind their own business and go play tag in the highway 🤷
Hello over here Sony.
Europe UK, Disc Drives please.
Totally business, focusing on the USA where Xbox consoles are a closer second.
No wonder PS5 is down 5 million in Europe compared to same time PS4.
And it looks like the 30th Anniversary Bundle is sold out, no queue anymore. Wouldn't be surprised if scalpers are flipping it on eBay for quadruple the price as I'm typing this.
@NoCode23 PS4 Pro is a classic piece of minimalist design.
Yes, folders, themes and the web browser still blow the PS5's woeful UI into touch.
@Almost_Ghostly XSX looks like a bin with an ashtray on top and the XSS looks surprisingly like the house alarm sounder we had at our old place.
They all look terrible, especially considering some past PS designs (PS3 super slim excluded).
To be fair, the Slim with the silver side plates on doesn't look too bad but I've got black plates on my fatty and although it still looks bad, it can at least blend in with the other furniture.
I was hoping the disk drives might come back in stock during this whole thing, but I guess not. They really just ran out of those things and aren't saying anything about when they're coming back.
My anni pro turned up today. It's beautiful
@sanderson72 I can go to wallmart since January and i see the same games, No sale, Just add new games but old games stays there.
so i believe that ps6 will be digital and you can add disk drive if you want.
I waited in the queue for 30 minutes and then got let in and... sold out. Booooooo!!!
Might be in the minority here, but I've always liked the PS5 designs. This one looks cool too, although I do wonder as some other people have mentioned above, what the point of getting a version of the vanilla PS5 would be - at this stage of the generation.
