Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has appeared in an official Sony list of PS5 Pro launch games, confirming Treyarch is working on enhancements for the upgraded console despite now being owned by Microsoft. It's not known just yet what those technical updates will be, but Diablo 4 also appears on the list, so it seems the Xbox console maker is open to its teams improving the console versions of its games.
This means the PS5 Pro will have the best console version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6. The FPS already runs at an incredibly smooth 60 frames-per-second with impressive visuals on the base PS5, and it has a 120fps option for those with compatible 4K TVs. Presumably, the PS5 Pro patch will simply make it look and run even better. Since Microsoft appears happy for its developers to work with PS5 Pro, though, this could open up its Xbox game ports in the future — like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle — to look and run best on PS5 Pro.
Black Ops 6 represents a strong return for the series after the disappointing launch of Modern Warfare 3. We awarded the game an 8/10 in our PS5 review and concluded: "Its single player campaign is one of the franchise’s best-ever efforts, the multiplayer is jam-packed with engaging content, and the Zombies mode seems just as good as it always is when Treyarch is leading things. It never really went away, but Black Ops 6 feels like Call of Duty back at its modern peak."
If you own both consoles, could this PS5 Pro support sway you to pick up the PS5 version over Xbox Game Pass? Let us know in the comments below.

Makes sense, Microsoft is a third-party publisher now to be honest. Indiana Jones will be best on PS5 Pro, too. As will any other games they port over.
They're just shamelessly dragging the corpses of our Xbox brothers through the streets for our entertainment at this point.
Wonder if the new Gears of War might get a timed exclusive on PS5. 🤔
@get2sammyb Game Pass still for me even on my S for most of the Xbox output, maybe Avowed or a bigger IP like Halo I'd get on PS5 aka basically a game I care about enough to spend 70 on
Im not about to buy the game though for the ps pro for a few extra pixels or fps.(My PS5 Pro comes Thursday) I have a series x and a pc along with gamepass ultimate.
I love the idea of having each port maximize the capabilities of the console though. Noone benefits from exclusives and downgrades aside from the console makers. So really there is no reason why we the consumer should be against these kinds of moves.
@get2sammyb Indiana will presumably be best not on PS5 Pro, but on PC. And I was skeptical in the past about the future of PC gaming, but this is the easiest available platform in many new markets, and that’s why Microsoft is emphasizing it.
Just watched all the upgrade videos on line on my 65” x95l to get a better effect.
So glad I ordered a Pro. It was very sharp and detailed especially SM2 and Last of us 2.
Dragon Age looked a step up as well.
Remember I’m still watching on YouTube even though at 4K, so console it will shine a bit more.
Felt so sharp and so smooth when panning.
It’s like a double up for me as always play at 60fps.
I will stay with the XBox version, no way I will buy the Pro for way to much money. And it still will be the plastic fantastic sweaty controller I have to use.
Doesn't really feel like this should be news at this point. Microsoft supports PlayStation and Nintendo (didn't they tell a court CoD was coming to Nintendo...? Maybe that's for Switch 2 — or it was a lie), so they'll support hardware upgrades.
Staying on Xbox for this one. I do not enjoy the PS controllers for FPS games. But nice to see it get a bump on the Pro.
Every day my purchase of the Pro is further rewarded
Well that’s actually quite funny. Man alive it must be annoying if you chose Xbox
I'm still not sold on this pro console thing your money is better spent on a nice OLED 75" VRR with full scale HRD upgrade then buying a pro.
Will hopefully have the pro by the end of the week but that'll not make me buy games for it that are free through GPU.
@Max_the_German @get2sammyb Exactly, it's all best on windows, Microsofts main platform, and reaches a much larger market there too. Followed in distant second by PS5 pro, then tie for third behind xsx/PS5.
Only down side of this game on PC at least on Xbox store is the download. It says 300gb, but actually downloads 200gb, and then after that you can delete the mp/campaign parts you don't want. The bundled mw3 multiplayer is 86gb alone.
Still this is a game that proves why Sony isn't bothering with disc drives, 😂
@get2sammyb People say the second Don Matrick opened his gob their days were numbered but I prefer to blame it on a complete lack of decent games getting on for 15 years now. How the hell did MS expect to sell consoles in that environment 🤷♂️. Personally I'm glad they will become a publisher because then at least we’ll get the games from the companies they now own and 100% would have been made exclusives had series X been successful. That’s my take on it
@Mikey856
As an Xbox owner, I can honestly say that I'm not annoyed one bit that I don't have the option to spend £700 to play a slightly enhanced version.
@GeeForce not that I just mean in general the way things have ended up . Are you confident of getting new consoles still? I know they have said they are making another but what if this one does even worse, where would they go from there.
@Mikey856
Think there will be another, but beyond that not confident at all.
Which is a concern as I have quiet a lot invested gameswise in Xbox and backward compatibility allowing would like always a platform to play them on. My backlog is going to take decades to clear! 🤣
Add that to my PS4 backlog, Wii U backlog...
@GeeForce the struggle is real bro! I have an old friend who has an equally old cheevo’ list that he’s kept at 100%. He’s having kittens at the thought of losing it all
@Mikey856
Lol yeah man, that would hurt.
@SilentBluntman absolutely mate you can really soup up those rigs if ya willing get your cash out but I’ll take the ease of a console everyday of the week and when they look as good as the PRO looks like it’s going to I’m more than happy with that decision
@SilentBluntman
Agreed. I have, and love, my PS5. But playing this on a PC gives me better graphics and since I have GamePass, it's no additional cost.
@Mikey856
!00%. My PS5 never makes me mess around with drivers.
Hopefully it will make me a better player...
At 40 my best COD days are behind me.
I don't understand the PC will play it better comments. Yes, yes it will, no one is questioning that. But not everyone wants to spend that money on a PC, have room for one or just prefer sat on sofa playing. "My 4090 will destroy the Pro" yep, well done.
