Silent Hill 2 is amongst the spookiest games ever made, and Bloober Team's excellent remake included some entirely new scares, with more being discovered all the time. Particularly attentive players have began to discern a pattern in the endless static on the TVs spread around town, with some even repeating legible messages in Morse code. Beware, major SPOILERS for both the original and the remade Silent Hill 2 to follow!
In the clip below, YouTuber Shiba demonstrates using the TVs in Brookhaven Hospital as an example (thanks, PC Gamer). A series of clicking sounds apparently translates in Morse Code to "again and", on repeat, forever. Another TV, in Wood Side Apartments, has also been translated as repeating: "Why did you do it, James?"

This is apparently some level of confirmation that, along with the Polaroid message decrypted, James has been trapped, in real-time, in Silent Hill since the original came out. Bloober's take on the story is just one of many, it seems, and the remake is some endless sequel. Spooky!
Hopefully, those unfortunate PS5 Pro issues will be ironed out soon. Did you realise that you were subconsciously being fed a message while playing Silent Hill 2? Let us know in the comments section below.

It reads: "PSSR broke our game"
These are clever but I gotta say, the NEW endings Bloober added wrap the story up well and "end the cycle" in my own head canon. And yes, they are better than the original Team Silent endings in my opinion, however improbable that sounds.
The 'Stillness' ending has a secret in it as well that's hard to spot and only keen eared observers will hear, but changes everything. Can't get into it because, spoilers, but it is just too well done.
These guys understood the assignment. Let's get on SH1 and SH3 now please.
Apparently this game has loads of hidden details throughout.
I should really go through New Game+ and see what I can find.
@UnlimitedSevens Understood the assignment indeed. A-f’ing-plus! Such an amazing remake. It seemed like an absolutely impossible task to remake, let alone improve upon, such an iconic horror game, but holy sh*t they did it. And yup, I sincerely hope they get contracted to remake the original and 3. They’ve got the assets ready to go!
@UnlimitedSevens People are afraid to say the remake is better than the original.
No, the original is not ***** now or a bad game because of that. But the remake was so well made and respected so much of the original lore, characteres, world, symbolism etc, that became the definitive way to play this masterpiece.
I just reached Brookhaven hospital. Bloober did impressive works for this remake. I love everything about this game. The atmosphere is top notch and i really love the lore. Absolutely one of the best game i played this year.
I really hope they remake 1 & 3 and give bloobers the job
@Vault_Mcfly agree, I also don't see myself going back to the OG ff7, re1234 or mgs3 once that releases. Doesn't undermine the greatness of the original, but games are a unique medium that can be approved upon when remaking, or making a sequel, while movies and other media usually (not always) feel like pointless endeavours. I still very much love to play PS1/PS2 games however if they haven't had a refresh.
That said, I also really love demakes and new PS1 style games like signalis or crow country.
Just about to start my 3rd play through for the platinum. Truly astonishing game bloober nailed it
Fantastic remake. I enjoyed it a lot.
I hope that someone gets my P!sser in a Puddle yeh
