Bandai Namco announced some fairly big plans for Tekken 8 overnight, during the Tekken World Tour Finals.

For starters, a 'Winter Update' is incoming, which will feature some impressive photo mode improvements and additional customisation slots for each character. A new Fight Pass is also being introduced to celebrate Tekken's 30th anniversary.

Next, Season 2 has been confirmed. It'll kick off next year, and it'll include a suite of new DLC characters β€” one of whom appears to be Anna, going by the teaser in the above trailer.

Season 2 will bring sweeping balance adjustments to Tekken 8 as well, while gifting every character new moves. Generally speaking, the game is pretty well balanced as is β€” barring a few fighters who feel a little overtuned β€” so it'll be interesting to see what kind of changes the development team makes.

Oh, and the final character reveal for Season 1? That's coming at The Game Awards. We assume it'll be a big deal, given that Bandai Namco's managed to snag a spot at Geoff's show.
