Before you pull the trigger on that shadow dropped digital copy of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, just be aware a physical copy is coming on 27th March.
The boxed release will be exclusive to Play Asia and will retail for $49.99. It’ll support Japanese and English language tracks, as well as subtitles in Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
There’s no word on any bonuses included with this retail release, so don’t expect any crazy incentives or extras. This is just an opportunity to own a remade classic in a box.
Play Asia does mention that stocks may be limited, so if you want it, consider pre-ordering through here right away.

Download and play right now, or wait another two months to get it on a disc.
Decisions, decisions……
@ChopperCampbell Or do both?
Limited for playasia means they didn't produce a lot of copies. sigh...
I'll try this route then. I was going to download but I want this as part of my collection.
Weird not to have Xbox physical as an option. Steam cards and PS5 physical only.
@breakneck Xbox physical sales are even weaker than PlayStations. Plus they’re selling this version globally and PS is just more popular worldwide.
@get2sammyb True Play-Asia does like most HK game companies cater to Nintendo, PS and PC mostly. Also not the first time Play-Asia has exclusivity on KT physical english versions they did it for DOAX3 as well iirc.
Ninja gaiden 1 black is Xbox only?
@breakneck Yeah they clearly have a good relationship with KT.
@Czar_Khastik Sigma is in the Master Collection.
Sorry kinda off topic but here's video comparison original vs remake

The graphic update definitely looks great although they made Sonia's face looks more..Asian? Hmm 🤔
@ChopperCampbell take a month of game pass to play it now and then buy it physical for ps5 in a few months.
Play Asia is great for physical games. Was happy they had LaD The man who erased his name on a disc.
I own the master collection by playasia physically so ill do the same for ninja gaiden 2 black. Really bothers me when US doesnt do physicals for games that need it. Like imagine you had to wait for limited run games but theyll take 6 months to get it to you lmao.
I wonder how limited supplies may be on playasia? I already bought the digital version before i found out i could get it physically and I'd feel silly paying another 50 dollars to get it on disc right away. I love the game but paying for it twice on the same paycheck seems excessive. Think I'd be fine waiting until another payday?
I dont mind paying more for a physical release (ecen though physical is cheaper 99% of the time) BUT having to wait 2 month is a dealbreaker this time
Usually I would wait for a physical copy but the urge to play this game again was too much, decided to download it. Will get NG 4 on disc if possible, though.
And I'll say it again; it's no wonder that physical sales are flagging, when it takes 2 months (or more!) for a digital version to reach disc. If they released simultaneously, I'm sure digital sales wouldn't be as big a slice of the metaphorical pie.
I enjoyed 1 and 2 in the Master Collection and am gonna buy the remastered PSN version later today and hop to it.
As much as I enjoy physical games, I'd rather not wait 2 months for this.
Same for LRG (and they seem to take even longer). In my opinion, these things come off as last minute considerations when you've got months long waits just for things to ship. Puzzles me that this is how it goes, god forbid you're ready on time. This paragraph was aimed toward LRG, by the way.
But I am planning on buying something from PlayAsia (for the first time) and seeing how it goes. Venus Vacation PRISM isn't available outside Japan/Asia so that's my only option.
Video Games Plus also has this available for pre-order.
@Czar_Khastik Yes, and still playable on Xbox.
@jorel262 VGP Arguably the best indie Game shop that we have in Canada. 🇨🇦😍 PNP Games is great too. ❤️
@Cry_Zero (#15) Too bad, physical should always be the option!
Ordered. Game looks great and I’ve never played any version of NG2 so I’ll add it to the pile.
@EVIL-C I'll check out PNP Games. Thanks!
@jorel262 You're welcome! 💿😁
@get2sammyb @Czar_Khastik The Sigma versions are absolutely the worst way to play these games.
Copped! Forever Physical!!!
