Atlus has issued a rare Metaphor: ReFantazio patch for all consoles and PC that adds a few new menu options that make navigating them quicker and easier. Updating the PS5, PS4 editions to version 1.11, the update introduces the ability to change your battle formation and swap party members in and out from both the main menu and the equip screen. Then, on the main menu on the item screen, there's a new function that lets you quickly jump to "specific locations".
Patch 1.11 is available to download as of now, and also works to fix a few other minor bugs and technical issues, while improving the PC versions separately. "We hope you will continue to support Metaphor: ReFantazio," Atlus signs off. The full patch 1.11 notes can be found below.
One of the developer's best, Metaphor: ReFantazio was awarded a 9/10 rating in our PS5 review, and ended the year in second place in our Game of the Year top 10. "Atlus smashed it with Metaphor: ReFantazio — and we can only hope that this is just the beginning of another superb RPG series," we said. Will you get much use out of these new options designed to speed up menu navigation? Let us know in the comments below.

I’ve been playing the demo on Steam Deck, I don’t really rate Persona but quite enjoying this so far to the extent I think I’ll take a punt on the full game. I hope it’s not a mistake!
Got this with a gift card after the holidays. Going to start it up once I complete Astro Bot. It'll be my first Atlus style RPG, so I'm excited!
Wish they added an option to fast travel to cities without having to teleport to the gauntlet runner, go to the strategy room, and then scroll across the map to the place I want. In the end game gets a bit laborious unless I am missing an option somewhere
@Rob_230 There is. You just missed it.
@Rob_230 recently started playing this. If you hit R1 in a town it brings up the map, hit x on another town and it let's you pick anywhere in the town to tele to. Don't have to go to the runner/strategy room etc.
Finished recently, so maybe for a NG+ if I go for the Platinum.
It was really really good.
@SuperSilverback @Rob_230
I think it's R1 twice and then you can choose.
@Lup ohhh an even faster way? Thank you kind sir
@SodaPop6548 it was my first Atlus game and I finished it last night, honestly, MP is a huge issue at the beginning of the game, there's way to mitigate, Google is your friend and don't let the calendar system intimidate you, you never feel rushed and there's plenty of time to do things in between story plot beats.
The first few hours is a massive learning curve but when you get into it, it's a great game, especially if you're a fan of old school JRPGs
I was hoping they were going to fix the choppy framerate..
@Yusuo I've read the same thoughts in reviews, so I think I'm ready. I grew up on old school RPGs, which is why I am excited. Google is how I got through Bloodborne, so I'm not afraid to if I need to. I've also looked up some beginner tips for it because, honestly, I'm not great at games. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Fix the graphics on consoles. At least add some AA.
In the demo, I realised the most optimal thing (resource / calendar conservation) wise when you run out of SP, is do switch to mage and mindlessly grind out lower level enemies for a bit until it's recovered.
Does the game ever give you a better solution? SP was always unrecoverable in Persona.
@Rob_230 that's been in the game since launch
Is there ever an ability in these Atlus Games to get to the Main Menu when in battle or dialogue so one can just Reload Game!
@Rob_230 R1 R1 my man
Fantastic game. Just finished the platinum and thoroughly enjoyed it. Atlus never misses.
I thought the menu was fine. My only gripe with the game was I felt there were too many loading screens. Particularly when entering and exiting saferooms which felt a tad unnecessary.
A better update would be allowing us to switch archetypes on the fly like persona during battle. Maybe just for the mc would be great.
@ThomasHL there are recipes you can make, one that you have access to by the third city, that one specifically heals 100mp to all party members, 200mp if you study the merchant archetype.
