Regardless of what they say, it's obviously Tifa, for so many reasons.

I really don't like this wishy-washy response. I know that the game is pretty old and by now people have created their own head-cannon, but they (SE) should've just went with one of the girls, it would make for a better romance story, like Tidus and Yuna or Clive and Jill.

Honestly, the best girl for Cloud is whoever thinks it should be.

@Athrum Hated FFX-II but that final cutscene with Tidus and Yuna made me cry. A rare SE romance (only one imo) that is actually good.

In the og game, Cloud & Tifa spent a warm and passionate night together in the barn. Heck, in Advent Children they even live together. So yeah, in the end Cloud choose Tifa.

When it comes to FFVII's love story, I don't really have a personal choice here but if we go about the canon events of the OG FFVII leading to Advent Children, Tifa is the obvious endgame girl for Cloud, regardless of how you feel about the relationship between Cloud and Aerith.

Square is just playing it safe as to not anger their Tifa/Aerith fanbase

Shipping as a concept is just sad, imo.

If they wana turn around now and say it's Aerith I'll accept it, won't be happy about it, but not my game. But they'd need to patch out the end of the scene which takes place in the Gongaga house, and delete a certain character that 100% loves Aerith and shows it unlike Cloud.

If they change the Mideel scene i will riot however.

Tifa is for Cloud and it always will be Tifa, she’s had feelings for him for years and they grew up together.
Aerith likes Zack and always will like Zack, hence why she says to Cloud in the first remake not to fall for her

Who is the one who tried and succeeded to cure Cloud from his confusion and depression?

Who was the only one who stayed with Cloud in the Highwind and spent the night with him?

Cloud and Tifa also know eachother for a long time, much longer than any of the other party members know Cloud.

Cloud and aerith has been the canon since the 1996 (JP release of ff7). And it will always be the canon couple. Tifa is only clouds friend even at the end of Dirge of Cerberus, Aerith the woman engraved in his heart forever. These are all facts

@cloud7s if you play rebirth in Japanese they are way more obvious about it than english. It isn't canon in Japanese.

Aerith isn't over her first love. And they even state she doesn't see cloud that way and even later go onto saying she only starts to like someone else because "he wasn't here anymore"

I mean, people can imagine what they want but in all versions of the game Aeris isn't around for very long. It's quite difficult for Cloud to date a corpse.

Zack is in a different timeline to the main timeline hence why Cloud is still young and is still an infantry Soldier in the timeline Zack is alive in and also Zack has the Buster sword still which Cloud didn’t get in the main timeline till Zack’s passing protecting him from Solider
