Monster Hunter Wilds PS5

Monster Hunter Wilds is almost upon us. It will be released on PS5 tomorrow, February 28th. Series fanatics will likely want to start playing the second servers go live. Capcom understands this all too well and has confirmed the precise global release times so that prospective hunters can immediately get to hunting. Quick PSA: If your copy arrives early, physical owners must download a 15GB update to play.

On console, generally speaking, the appointed time that Monster Hunter Wilds will become playable is at 12am, Friday, 28th February. Not every timezone plays by the same rules, however, and some geographically blessed players will be able to jump in later tonight, Thursday, 27th February, play for a bit, and still get a decent night's sleep, depending on your level of self-control.

Interestingly, it's not those of us in Oceania who are sneaking in ahead of the appointed time; instead, it's the turn of West Coast residents of North America to enjoy a few hours of unofficial early access. Players in the PST timezone can fire up Monster Hunter Wilds from 9pm Thursday; the rest of the world will have to wait for their respective clocks to tick over to midnight. Check out when your part of the world can start playing below:
