A professional skateboarder has stated that he's set to appear in an upcoming Tony Hawk video game remaster project.

In an appearance on the Breakfast Club podcast (embedded above), Tyshawn Jones claims he's going to be in a new game in the fan favourite skateboarding game series.

"I'm in a Tony Hawk coming out, so, that's cool," he says. "They got a new one they remastering so that's about to come out. I was in the last one."

Indeed, Jones was part of the playable roster in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, the remake collection of the first two titles in the franchise.

This claim comes following teases from Tony Hawk himself around the game series' 25th anniversary. It really does seem as though something is on the way.

Fans have been hoping that THPS 3 and 4 will get the same treatment as the earlier games — especially in light of a report claiming publisher Activision rejected a pitch for exactly that. Still, Jones' wording suggests 3 + 4 really may come to light, or perhaps it's a remaster of some other entry, like Tony Hawk's Underground.

Anyway, we can be fairly confident in saying there's more THPS goodness heading our way. What do you want to see from a new game in the series? Tell us in the comments section below.
