The usual monthly PS Plus Essential refresh takes place tomorrow (4th February 2025) so if you're still yet to claim the PS5, PS4 games offering from January 2025, you've got less than 24 hours to do so. In case you need a reminder of the selection, the titles you can claim and keep are:
- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (PS5) | Review
- The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (PS5, PS4) | Review
- Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered (PS4) | Review
As long as you at least redeem the games to your PSN account, you can keep and play the titles for as long as you have an active PS Plus membership. If you cancel the subscription, you'll need to buy them to regain access.
From tomorrow at 9am GMT, the games above will be replaced by the selection for February 2025. That new offering will include PAYDAY 3 and High on Life. Do you think that's a better lineup than what's departing, or is it a downgrade? Let us know in the comments below.

Wish they would focus more on the indies for ps plus like they used to in the early ps4 days. Mind you given the general anti indie hatred that was levelled by the COD brigade et al ("whats this crap, is this a mobile gamez") probably is why games need to be AAAAA now and take 5 years to make.
PS+ sub finished in December last year.
Only thing I'm (sort of) missing is the PS5 game save backup utility. PS4 is fine and can back up to USB of course.
The games seem to have taken a downturns in quality.
@Jrs1 I agree with you completely. PS+ used to be so indie forward and goofy. We’d get random stuff that no one was probably buying or only a select few were buying. I’d rather have that than the last ditch pitches for dead live service games like Suicide Squad and Payday 3 to survive just a little bit longer.
Mind you, I don’t mind if live service games are in the service, but both of these games have been very public failures. While I disliked Destruction All-Stars, I could at least say it was a good addition to PS+, as they were trying to get the game going rather than trying to boost the player count for something that’s already set to end.
most of the time, at least one or two games appeals to me, so i think ps+ still worth it
I was quite excited for Hot Pursuit until I booted it up and realised I was actually thinking of NfS: Most Wanted as being the game from two generations ago that I really gelled with and wanted to play again. As I already had Stanley Parable, January was a bit of a bust for me. (But if you didn't already have Stanley Parable, then you should play it and it was a decent month.)
Already redeem stanley and nfs, and I don't want to redeem justice league lol.
I've redeemed Hot Pursuit but I'm not going to bother with the other 2 as I know for a fact I'd never play them
@somnambulance I miss those days because i came back to playstation with ps4 after xbox360 and the xbla titles, loved the variety in the arcade titles. Steam, Nintendo and Xbox players seem to have no issues with indies but ive found elitism within the playstation community if a game does not have "teh ray tracing and 4k at 120hz". The official playstation channel is full of these people with every indie release trailer.
“You can still Kill the Justice League”
Lol no thanks 😝
(I did redeem Stanley, which I’ll get around to one day I’m sure!)
