Bethesda has revealed Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch for PS5 on 17th April 2025. The release date was announced in a new trailer starring Nolan North and Troy Baker, with the latter voicing Indiana Jones in the game. Check it out above.
Pre-orders are now live on the PS Store, with the standard edition costing £69.99 / $69.99 and the Premium Edition coming in at £99.99 / $99.99. The latter also includes two days of early access (from 15th April), access to a future story expansion called The Order of Giants, an artbook, and the Temple of Doom outfit.

Of course, the game originally released for PC and Xbox Series X|S late last year to critical acclaim. On Metacritic, it has a rating of 86.

A press release confirms the game will be "visually optimized" for PS5 Pro, and also comes with two new in-game abilities. "With “Open Season”, whip-cracking an enemy will temporarily cause them to take more damage from subsequent attacks, while when using “Sleight of Hand,” players can disarm an enemy and cause their weapon to fly Indy’s way."
Eurogamer said upon release: "The next Tomb Raider and Uncharted games certainly have their work cut out for them after this, as will whatever MachineGames ends up tackling next. But one thing is certain. Indy's legacy feels well and truly restored with The Great Circle, and that's the kind of mileage we can all enjoy for years."
The release date was originally leaked by Billbil-Kun, and it marks a strong showing from Xbox on PS5 next month, as it also has Forza Horizon 5 planned for the system. Will you be buying both games? Let us know in the comments below.

This has potential to really shine on PS5 pro, considering the flexibility and scalability of the engine
I'll definitely be getting indiana physical edition standard or premium sds like a great game
Looking forward to the videos on the Pro, will get this game at some point. Its really good!
Fun trailer, I could watch a sketch show of Troy and Nolan. Games have gotten to a point where they are way too expensive for me at launch but I'm going to get this when the price drops.
The actual release date is 15th April, with a massive price cut two days later.
Lol this is kinda being treated as the true launch of the game.
So it comes out on the 15th then. If I can buy a product and use it, then it's out
Also selling "early access" for a game that's been out for 5 months (or 3 and a half years for FH5) is f*****g stupid
I will say that the game is really good though, I've been playing it in early access on PC for 4 months 😉😂
There's something completely sureal about this sketch, considering it's a first party Microsoft title. Nathan Drake welcoming Indy to Playstation? What timeline is this?
How about that internet for dics version?
I will buy the collector's edition even though it comes with a globe-shaped Earth instead of a plate-shaped one but it is a video game after all, so what can a man expect
@carlos82 It’s typical that new car models launch with expensive engines and configurations. And the more affordable engines and configurations, which reflect the majority of sales, follow several months later.
Nobody would call this an „early access“.
@carlos82 Stupid thing they release early access, stupid people buy it.
Glad more people will get access to this. It’s a great game and Troy Baker does an amazingly accurate Indiana Jones - I wonder how many hours he spent not only getting the voice right, but also nailing the vocal mannerisms of the character.
Hahaha. That advert was great.
@Max_the_German Well, you are getting a paid DLC expansion with that so it will still cost you more if you wait two days if you want it.
@djlard Some people want the DLC expansion. Not just the early access. Nothing stupid about that.
@GamingFan4Lyf It really is a ridiculously impressive effort. If you told people who didn’t know it wasn’t that it was Harrison Ford, most people would believe you.
I like the 'hidden storage' on the global, my grandparents globe has hidden storage too, usually used for hidden wine. It's shame that journal isn't a physical art-book. It's a nice steel-book though, but it makes me wonder how much companies are tacking onto the price for early access. Also Temple of Doom is my favorite movie in the series but a ripped shirt Indy as appealing as it is should be part of the base game not DLC, the same for the whip. I can only think of four types of actual whips and having one of those types as DLC is just greedy.
Removed - trolling/baiting
@carlos82 They’re selling a paid DLC expansion that happens to also include two days of early access. Not sure why people aren’t looking at that.
That is THE perfect promo lol
@awp69 I have and they can shove it like a big rolling boulder 🤣 I'll grab it when on sale down the line 👍
Honestly that was a pretty great trailer. Some much overlap in so many directions still pulpy but also advertising. Whoever wrote that A+
Ahhh, the leaker was probably right anyway, he just thought today was April 17, 25...
I finished the game on pc over the weekend and I had a lot of fun with it. The environments are beautiful, puzzles are fun and the story is a good time. Combat is a little weak but that's the only real negative for me.
@awp69 for me personally it isn't about that, by all means have a more expensive version with extra content but there is no reason to have 2 release dates and pretend that the 2nd of those is the actual release date
I have never seen the movies ( i know..shame on me)
But this i'm interested in.
This new early access incentive is some crap
@Residentsteven This is a really childish comment.
Does anyone know if Xbox's multi-platform releases use the Dualsense haptics at all?
My partner has Gamepass so I can play them 'free' on there. But if there are good haptics I'm tempted to just buy the PS5 version.
This game was an absolute masterpiece on the Series X, can’t wait for more people to discover how fun it is!!
@Barry_vV You should consider watching some of them before the game, Raiders of The Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade are all brilliant. The new game takes place between Raiders, and the Last Crusade. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the game, you'd miss them without watching the movies.
So, do we have confirmation on whether the disc will be playable without an additional download or not? This is info that will actually influence my purchasing it at launch or not, since I already played it via Gamepass.
Edit: looked at the fine print on the picture. Yup, internet connection required to download game. I’m annoyed but sadly unsurprised.
@SMJ sorry couldn’t resist 😂.
Great advert. Loved all the little in-jokes.
Will probably pick this up at some point.
I thought it would catch on eventually. I've been heat moulding dominoes and putting them in my steelbook cases for a number of years already.
Good title but NOT worth 70 pounds or even 100! Wait a month or two and be cheaper!
Not that I have any investment in their relationship, but glad to see these two on screen together again. I heard they had a falling out when they tried doing a YouTube show. Maybe this is just professionally burying the hatchet, but nice to see either way.
Oh, right. They're talking about a video game. Yeah, I'm buying it for sure. All 3 Indiana Jones movies are amazing, so it's nice to see the franchise get some love.
Just a heads up, this game has a lot more stealth than what people are probably expecting. I played it on Xbox Gamepass, and couldn’t really get into it, though I seemed to be in the minority. Great graphics though, and Troy Baker’s take on Indy is spot on.
@awp69 I know it, and I think about getting the Premium edition! But not day one, maybe June/July, because these premium versions often get massive discounts first.
I just have to say: that was a great ad. Very charming and nice allusion to the Uncharted franchise.
It comes with a Physical release!!!
I'm so happy!
I pray that more Microsoft games may follow with physical releases on PS5!
@IOI I know. Seems crazy how much Microsoft are pushing the PlayStation version over its own software. Shows where Xbox is at.
@Ainu20 crazy but cool AF
I think I’ll pick this up but only when it’s on sale in a year or so.
@awp69 that's the only reason to buy. Anyway 30 pounds for dlc... it is also robbery.
Really liked the game ..and I'm not really an Indiana Jones fan..
@djlard I bought the disc version for Xbox and it requires the full game be downloaded. Basically a license file is all that's on the disc. Disappointing but these are the times we live in unfortunately
@Grumps859 Ahh... that's what I didn't want to hear.
Heh, Microsoft is stretching the Great Circle reach...
Sorry, couldn't help but to make that joke.
Looks good, had a look at store. Games are just overall getting so downright expensive though. Premium with the addon is $170AUS. It must be a pretty decent addon they are making if its worth around $40-$50 AUS. Weird they are putting Temple of Doom outfit in as Premium DLC, when in fact Dr Jones would have had that outfit prior to this game. It should have just been included regardless to keep with this timeline.
Selling early access to a game that's already available is not getting anywhere close to the scrutiny it warrants. Gamers get outraged very easily over the smallest of things yet this practice, something genuinely worthy of such outrage, is going largely under the radar.
I'll hold off for 18 months and play it st no additional cost when it inevitably comes to ps+ in some form.
@Bluemoon2008 I don't know, it does what it says. I do have an issue with ms boasting about day one gamepass while also selling early access, but that concern isn't relevant here.
