Announced in 2024, Possessor(s) is the next game from the makers of Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash, and it's now confirmed for PS5.

As you can see from last year's trailer, this is a stylish side-scrolling action platformer about a character possessed by a demon.

You explore a decrepit city called Sanzu, abandoned after becoming overrun by demons that turned human hosts into nightmarish creatures.

As well as traversing the city, a big part of the game is its combat, apparently inspired by platform fighters. You'll use all kinds of makeshift weaponry, and juggling monsters in mid-air seems to be key to success.

The game looks very promising and is coming from a studio with a strong track record, so we're pretty excited about this one — even if we could do without the brackets in the name. It's pencilled in for release this year.
