Is Forza Horizon 5’s price too high? While approximately 40% of you said so in our Push Square poll, it’s certainly not hurting pre-orders of the PS5 port, which is due out on 29th April.

A quick look at the PS Store shows Playground Games’ open world racer right at the top of the pre-order charts all around the world.

In the UK, the Premium Edition – which includes Early Access and all DLC – is in first place, while the Standard Edition is in third and Deluxe Edition is in eighth. It’s trending ahead of huge upcoming games like Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The US follows a similar order, with the Premium Edition in third position, Standard Edition in fourth position, and Deluxe Edition in 13th.

Look at the PS Store all around Europe and you’ll see similar trends, with the game occupying the top spot in countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and more.

To be fair, the pre-orders only went live earlier this week, so this flurry of activity may be reflecting that. However, we expect this game to sell outstandingly well to the core PlayStation fanbase, particularly in Europe. It’s just a shame there’s no physical release planned.

What’s most interesting here is that most people are plumping up for the Premium Edition, which is the most expensive option. It seems that four days early access, even for a game that’s already four years old, is a compelling upsell incentive.

Regardless, just how many copies of Forza Horizon 5 do you expect to be sold on the PS5? It’s looking like a lot.
