Koei Tecmo’s long-running historical Japanese strategy series Nobunaga’s Ambition is getting a new PS5 version on 5th June with six new scenarios.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition is a re-release of the PS4 game which launched in 2023. We awarded it a strong 7/10 in our review.
This new version will feature improved visuals and a new Decisive Battles system.
If you already own the PS4 game then there’ll be a free update adding the aforementioned Decisive Battles system, while a paid expansion pack will be made available to bundle in the six new scenarios as well.

A trailer embedded above, uploaded by Gematsu, should give you a taste of what to expect from the title.

You know is funny back during the PS2 Era I used to think games like this Kessen and Romance of the Three kingdoms looked overly complicated and avoided them in return until one day I had decided to try romance of the Three kingdoms 13 on ps plus and actually found it pretty fun since then I've been buying games like this when I can.
@Areus On the flip side I finally tried one of these games a couple of years ago and turned it off pretty quickly due to its complexity. I don't mind learning, but it was too much in one go without really being able to play any of the game.
I don't have the time or frame of mind to sit down and learn a game inside out immediately like I did in the mid/late 90s with Civ and Civ II.
That said, I've not ruled out trying one of the earlier entries like say, Mega Drive.

Last played this series on the SNES. Fun times.
I briefly tried one of these on PS4, it felt like it should've come with one of those 200 page manuals that used to be normal.
