Publisher Playstack has announced Void Breaker, the next game from Stubby Games, the solo developer behind The Entropy Centre.
Void Breaker is a fast-paced first-person shooter with a roguelike structure and destructible environments, and it shows a lot of promise in its first trailer (above).
The main hook is a weapon modding system that results in a vast variety of guns and builds — you can combine all kinds of crazy effects that fill the screen with colourful chaos.
Destruction is also a big part of the game, which you'll use to gain an advantage in what looks to be some sort of dystopian sci-fi testing facility.

It's due for release in 2025. What do you make of Void Breaker? Break the system in the comments section below.

Sigh. Another roguelike? Enough with the roguelikes!
Not for me but it's good to see someone is taking destructible environments seriously again. There's been a drought after Red Faction.
Entropy Center was pretty fun if a little janky.
Kinda like a first person Returnal with destructible environments. Honestly looks really cool and I see they have a playtest available on Steam.
ah one of my least favourite gaming trends: every interesting-looking game ending up being a roguelike/lite
@MasterChiefWiggum Amen brother, what is wrong with just a start a middle and an end of.
Returnal meets Control, set in Battlefield 2042... looks pretty cool.
