Congrats @Voltan, you’re recent exploits with this and Burning Shores definitely raises some concerns about playing games at release. Let’s hope Final Fantasy XVI doesn’t have any of these issues, as that is one game that I don’t think I’ll be able to wait for too long on.
And we’ll done @sorteddan, this one seems to have popped up a fair bit of late… and seems to be quite the grind.
@sorteddan Brillant, you've finally done it much to the annoyance of the Codemasters Dev team. I remember a friend mentioned this trophy a while back and I thought, I'm not playing that.
The 1000 mile grind in Dirt 5 was bad enough.
I bet you've never deleted a game as quick.
@Voltan Well done Padawan or does this mean that you are a Jedi master, or just a trophy master?
My latest plats...
Tchia - Didn't know what to expect from this but it is quite a delightful , chilled game. A bit of a collectathon if you want the plat but mostly everything is marked on the map once you unlock the "Ubisoft towers". 2.5/10 and only a couple of missable trophies, one for killing 3 enemies in one attack and one for 100% rhythm mini game. Time about 20 hours.
The Crew 2. This is a strange one as I downloaded it after the 60fps patch last year and couldn't finish in top 3 in ANY race, to progress you need a top 3 finish in order to get parts hence required to progress. I thought this is the hardest race game I've ever played and I just couldn't progress past the first race , like at all. Anyhoo I redownloaded it after the recent The Crew 3 reveal and didn't have any issue winning nearly every race first time so I'm not sure what the problem before was, I suspect something like the old Dark Souls 2 weapon wear n tear stat where it was based on a 30fps so weapons were wearing down twice as fast and I reckon the AI racers were being calculated twice as often.
I have no other explanation and as Dustin says "I'm a very good driver" so it wasn't me.
Anyways good game but very much a jack of all trades master of none but I did enjoy most of the disciplines especially the calming nature of the race boats. I was disappointed in the use of the open world and I wish at the end of each race it would give an option to set waypoint to next so in effect you would have a sort of rally experience (think Lombard / RAC ).
3/10. About 30 hours and a few coop trophies but nothing all bad.
Nice one (or two 😉) @CaptD… yeah there’s always been something about Tchia that held my interest for some reason, will deffo have to give it a go at some point. And although I’m nowhere near a racing fan, that new Crew game does look interesting.
@colonelkilgore I quite enjoyed Crew 1 (never got the plat as it is very MP focused) so I was willing to push through with Crew 2 after the first failed attempt.
It is fun though, there are street cars, raid cars, rally cars (which are actually quite well done), hovercraft, jet sprint boats, power boats, drift events (very very easy, I still despise them though), drag racing (waste of time) and motocross which are a pain except for the point races as they are pretty good.
Not to mention planes although I felt these were a bit lame, you have the red bull type airraces and free style. I think Rings (like the wingsuit in Riders republic) and actual air races might have improved it. The whole thing does need VR though.
If you do try it then just shout if you need the coop trophies. As I said a fairly quick easy platinum and no grinding (for me at least).
I'm looking forward to Crew 3.
And that’s the trilogy done. Mostly straightforward but needed too mini replays to get a level 10 weapon and the trophy for burning enemies which didn’t work with my adept build.
@Thrillho Great job on the Mass Effect trilogy ! That must have been a lot of work.
On my side, I added a few small plats while I'm playing through Ghost of Tsushima :
#355 SpongeBob Squarepants : Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated - I wanted something simple and fun, and 3D platformers are the perfect choice. Nothing amazing but it brought me back to PS2 era, and it was nice.
#356 Goosebumps : The Game - Man I'm ashamed of that one. I used to read these books when I was a kid so I said why not, but the game is so bad ! At least it's just a couple hours.
#357 Headlander - A nice surprise here, a good Metroidvania with great mechanics. Short and easy.
#358 TOEM - A cute little game about pictures. Nice and easy, I recommend it.
@Thrillho congrats bud, always a more satisfying plat when it’s the capstone on a whole series. Funnily enough I started Mass Effect this morning… I’ll probably get to 3 in a couple of years.
… and a big congrats to @Cornaboyzzz, a nice haul there!
@Cornaboyzzz About 100 hours for the whole trilogy which isn't too bad really. And not as much work as the plats for the original games seeing as they required insanity difficulty runs too.
@colonelkilgore I hope you enjoy the series! I hadn't actually played the original game until the Legendary Edition and it hasn't aged as well as the others but the story still shines through. The trophies can be a little buggy, particularly the ones related to your squad so make sure to swap characters out once it pops for them. Kaiden's ability related trophy is also a pain until I found out you could use it on the Mako (your planetary vehicle).
@Thrillho congrats, a really Good plat, Mass Effect has always been one of my favourite game Trilogies and it was really nice having all the dlc packaged into them, alot I never done in the originals. Glad you enjoyed them.
@Cornaboyzzz congrats, I enjoyed Spongebob and a few times I've thought about install Toem when in between games, I'll definitely give it a look sometime
I am looking for someone to do The Crew online trophies with. Message me with tagline "The Crew Online Trophies" & I'll add you as a friend, PSN ID Banacheckfps. Thanks.
Platinum #141 - Dead Nation - one of the best games that I’ve played this year (and I’ve played some absolute bangers tbh). A really tough but ultimately super satisfying trophy list… and one that I just didn’t think I’d be up to the task on initially. My first twin-stick shooter… I’ve bought about another 10 since starting this one.
Platinum #142 - Assassins Creed: Revelations - took me a while to get into this one, as I was finding the old AC controls even more janky than usual… I think it was just me though, as it seemed par-for-the-course after about 10 hours. A nice capstone on the Ezio trilogy and the first game in the series that actually squeezed some juice on Desmond too. Will be looking forward to Assassins Creed 3 for the completion on Desmond’s arc.
Platinum #143 - Kena: Bridge of Spirits - another banger fair play. I don’t normally go in for the cartoony vibe… but there was something about the aesthetic here which I liked… absolutely loved the score too. Lovely game that I personally felt was elevated even further by some incredible boss battles.
@colonelkilgore Nice triple there, congrats.
I've played most Creed games but not Revelations, just recently finished Unity and that was pretty good for an old style Creed game.
Glad you enjoyed Dead Nation and Kena was definitely a surprise hit for me.
@BeerIsAwesome that sucks dude, hope that it works itself out for you. I’ve actually got this game in the backlog and quite fancy it too… your experience does make me think twice though 🤔
@BeerIsAwesome What a pain especially as it isn't a short game from what I've heard.
It is on my list as it looked fun but I will be wary of dodge trophies.
I wonder if they will add more machines via dlc/updates and that will add to your tally....fingers crossed for a Phoenix or Scramble clone (assuming they aren't already there).
