Re: PS5's Price Will Be 'Appealing to Gamers', Says Cerny

@KingdomHeartsFan Actually, the bulk of the PS4's user base toes the line of the casual and core user base (not hardcore, core)

Gamers that tend to still follow retail-price gaming trends and make up the bulk of North American NPD sales charts: the core market is not necessarily made up of hardcore gamers, but it's also not made up mostly of traditional casual gamers as we know them either. There is overlap, of course, but core gaming is more like what casual gaming used to be when it fit a solely retail model, and it's what corporations like Electronic Arts had to rely on before they struck gold with Apex Legends

The main difference between casual and core gamers is that core gamers make up less of the total install base, but are more likely to budget towards dedicated gaming in the form of major game and console purchases - not enough to be whales, and not large enough to compete with casual trends, but definitely willing to spend money on a gaming console so long as it's at least comparably competitive to the market

@turntSNACO - Honestly, rough as it sounds, Persona is also kinda subject to the usual JRPG fatigue, especially around the final act. I imagine both are going to stand the test of time incredibly well though, but then again, I'm one of those fools who finds both Witcher 3 and Persona 5 incredibly enjoyable

Also, I don't have the constitution to participate in waifu wars lol: for me tho, Akechi is the best thing since sliced pancakes

Hitting up that Hitman 2 myself, and watching the wife play some Let's Go Eevee - not sure what to make of it myself, it seems super easy, but I'm also loving the 'back to basics' vibe

I think it's supposed to be a Yellow remake, but even with new mechanics and updated visuals it feels very throwback-y, and I do like that
