Don't worry, bud. I'm reading that it is a great game from quite a few different sources and they also say that it is designed for the old school Thief-ers. You're probably gonna love it.
Seems to be a great, hardcore stealth game and nothing else.....? Is that why it was not reviewed as well as i t should of, because it is true to the roots?
Then again, with poor level design comments....that could be a critical blow as it is so crucial to, not only a stealth game, but an old scool game like this.
I don't think people here are understanding just how galactic this surprise announcement of a new Doom game is! This is absolutely HUGE!
Wolfenstein is looking like the best since the original too. We need to take the FPS back. It is one of my fave genres and yet i dislike almost every FPS release since the 7th gen. We need to take them back to when they were actually hardcore games.
That demo is the greatest demo ever made for a game in my opinion. So much replay value (something Konami is now trying to sell you for £30) and so many things to see and do in it. Not to mention the absolutely amazing cut-scenes, graphics, music, etc at the time.
I also find it funny (and upsetting at the time) that the demo or, "Tanker Incident" section of the game was it's high point and the game more-or-less free-fell after that.
Glad i'm not the only one thinking that looked like a sticker!
Just put a better MGS sticker on your current console...job done.
This seems like more unneeded money spending on this incomplete game package.
Ahh...i do miss the days of spending £3.50 on a magazine that came complete with an hour long demo of MGS2 which, ironically, was 90% of the game's prologue.
It's obvious he means he hasn't got any means to turn it back on. Exactly my situation....but i don't see it as a bad thing. I see it as the usual drought that comes with new consoles.
The Vita is my go-to console right now. Far more games that appeal to me. Then i am going back to the PS3 for South Park: TSOT.
I think my next PS4 game is Thief.
Anyway, back on topic....i am curious to see what this game entails.
I'm fed up with most trailers today, they're all the same with their constant fade in-and-out cuts, etc and always end with some kind of projectile coming at the camera, but cuts to the title just before it hits.....you know, cheesy as hell.
This was very refreshing. I wasn't gonna get this day one as i am clearing the backlog on my Vita at the moment, but this trailer just sold it to me for day 1.
Another thing i find funny here is that Naught Dog is doing David Cage far better than David Cage lol.
Great idea and execution, but i fear this gimmick's novelty would die very fast.
I do really like the music, though. Also, and i am probably showing my geeky side a bit too much here, but the jump grunt is the same jump grunt that appeared in the PSone classic FPS Exhumed (or Powerslave in the US). It's probably a stock sound, but as i am obsessed with that game, it made me giddy to hear it again lol.
The thing to note here is that it is being developed by Interceptor Entertainment. They were responsible for the greatest re-boot of an old-school shooter yet - Rise Of The Triad. Unfortunately, that game is PC exclusive for now, but i assure you, it brought back everything i had loved about the old-school shooters and put it all into a modern engine without compromising a thing! I said to myself many times whilst playing it that this is exactly how a new Duke Nukem should of played.
Granted they are not making a new FPS Duke, i think this is because Triptych Games (a subsidiary of GearBox Games who now consequently own the duke license) is currently cranking on that one, but this could still turn out to be a fantastic Duke title (remember, Duke began as a side-scroller!) due to the developers knowledge and background....Plus, Scott Miller, one of the original Duke creators is also on board with it.
Also worthy of note is that Interceptor Entertainment began life making a fan-made remake of the original Duke Nukem 3D which was fully licensed by Gearbox and to be released for free on PC (insiders say Gearbox shut it down when they saw how great it was compared to DNF).
Anyway, it is only on PS4, console-wise, too! This is a great thing! Very excited for this one.

Re: Who Would Win Wednesdays: Wei Shen vs. Kazuma Kiryu
This is the most one-way battle i have seen yet lol
Kazuma is so tough, he's actually a worthy contender for the "toughest game character ever" award. Up there with the likes of Snake for me.
Absolutely no competition here.

I'm seeing some absolutely glowing reviews for it: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/02/24/thief-review/

He's up there with the best of the industry Developers and creators to me. Extreme talent.

Re: Want to Know What Your PS4 Can Do? The Order: 1886 Will Show You
Greatest next gen graphics i have seen.
This is by far and away the best looking game seen thus far.

I played it religiously.
Re: This Custom Yakuza Ishin PS4 Is Slightly Better Than Its Metal Gear Solid Alternative
Still sticker-like.
Still....i'd take this one over the Fox one.

Re: The Evil Within Is Set to Stalk PS4 and PS3 in August
Ahh....Shinji comes to rectify all the damage done to Resi Evil since Resi 5.
Very excited for this. Should bridge the gap between nostalgia and the new with Survival Horror perfectly.
My prediction? One of the best games of the year and a very good rival to Resi 4.

That's not a bad score for Knack....?
Furthermore, i concur with Sutorcen.

I agree.
Although i think The Order will rectify that....Infamous looks very good too.
