@Fiendish-Beaver imo I am not sure what boundaries BG3 pushed. It's an excellent game and after playing DOS2 I did enjoy this but until the 3rd act the world still felt incredibly empty for the "scale". I also thought the story was pretty standard yes the replayability is through the roof but that can only be factored in minorly, besides act 2 will always be act 2 no matter the decisions before and act 3 the same. Plus don't even get me started the on the most underwhelming ending to a game I've played for a long time. Alan wake 2 used their in house developed engine and made steps in realising new graphical potential. Nothing BG3 did felt new to me just took stuff previous games did and made them bigger. Also if your gonna mention bugs did you forget the bugs that stopped players from playing act 3 for like a week. For me I enjoyed both games so if either wins I'm happy as Larian made and exceptional game especially considering the recent drivel released by some AAA companies recently but I don't think it's as much as a foregone conclusion. Still two AA developers showing how it's done.
