Only Ubisoft can take a simple game like Tetris, put it on a system as powerful as the PS4, and somehow half-ass it enough that it has framerate issues. If TLOU can be a smooth 1080/60, then there is absolutely no damn excuse for Tetris not to be!
@Gamer83 " What I can not accept is a company like SquareEnix shutting out PlayStation gamers from Tomb Raider"
This one actually makes sense because Uncharted 4 will overwhelmingly outsell Tomb Raider on PS4 anyway. XB1 users will buy Tomb Raider while we're playing Uncharted. So, Tomb Raider is a timed XB1 exclusive, which is fine because we're all going to play Uncharted 4 first anyways.
I really hope it's not another God of War. Please move on to a new franchise and put that talent toward something new, instead of milking the same series until it's no longer interesting. It's got a few great games, let's just leave it at that. It doesn't need to have a few great games and a couple bad ones.
@Shellybird27 I don't want to have to have my games "always online" and I don't want that type of restriction from tv/movies either. I don't want to not have access to my content that I paid for if my connection is lost for whatever reason. It's also great when you're streaming a movie and it randomly kicks down from 720p to 240p because your internet speed lowered. If it's on a disc or a hard drive, this never happens.
"Moreover, movies and music have been migrated to the cloud, so there's no need to worry about pesky downloads hogging that limited hard drive space." I'm really not excited about losing the ability to download tv/movies. If it's streaming only, I'm switching to Amazon for all my digital rentals/purchases.
I don't have a problem with online passes so long as they only lock out multiplayer. They have to pay to keep the servers running, so it makes sense that it's available at no extra charge if you buy a new copy, but you're locked out if you buy a used copy unless you give them $10.
Also, no games require the controller to be wireless. Even PS Move games can be used plugged in. (Although I would not recommend doing this)
EDIT: I'm referring to him saying it won't work with games that require wireless controller. I'm aware the DS4 only works with PS3 wired.
I could see them making TLOU2 for PS4, and releasing "The Last of Us HD" for PS4 shortly before the release of the sequel. The game was already great, but imagine how it would look with 1080p/60fps. That would be amazing.
The lack of bluetooth headsets is pretty lame. The reason I can think of for this is because a lot of people use bargain bin $10 headsets that sound like crap. It's really annoying hearing your team mates and opponents as garbled noise and distorted nonsense.
You guys listed it as 4-player on the side bar, when the game is in fact single player. Nice review, though. I enjoyed the first game and am looking forward to playing this after I'm done with Killzone Mercenary.
I think L1/R1 is much better, maybe because I'm used to it, and maybe because I hold the controller with my fingers on L1/L2/R1/R2 (using pointer and middle fingers), instead of having my middle finger down below not doing anything (which is how you hold an xbox controller?)
@Wesker It's already had Cloud saves through the content manager app. They've just added an extra shortcut to make it easier. Content Manager will still be the easier way if you're copying several save files, but the new shortcut will be the way to go if you're just copying one.
Excellent. I'm glad wifi on/off is on the quick menu. It should have been there all along. I miss the switch the PSP had, but this is the 2nd best option. Way better than having to go through the settings menu to turn it off. Turning it on (most of the time) is not a problem, since the game/app will just ask if you want to turn on wifi, and you say yes/no.
If the problem was (maybe) caused by the day one patch, then maybe we could just refuse the update (press O instead of X when it says to update) or disable internet connection in PS3 settings before playing. I'll give this a try and see how it works.
With the current version, it takes 17 years just to load the menu, and another 37 years just to search for something. The old one may not have been as fancy looking, but it booted up right away, never asked to be updated, and searching was much easier to do. Also, looking at new releases was much more pleasant. It grouped together all the LBP costumes etc, and little DLC items into their own group so you don't have 15 pages of the DLC for games you may or may now own. I often find myself just using the web browser version of the store on my laptop instead and sending the downloads to my PS3, which I think is a very nice feature.
When the PS4 is new it's going to need games that show off what the system is capable of. What's really the benefit of delaying it unless it's to finish it (hopefully avoiding day one patches, etc)??? Two great games at launch and one coming soon, or three great games at launch? Either way there's three great games there. Delaying it a month or two, what's the point? If other potential PS4 buyers are like me, then it will reduce launch sales, because if 2nd Son is not a launch title, I'll wait til it comes out before buying a PS4.
Having it on the PS4 would probably increase PS4 system sales, but they will sell alot more copies of this game on PS3 since so many people have PS3s compared to how many will have a PS4 immediately after the console's release.
Hopefully they will put the PS3/PS4 versions both on the same disc. I know the PS4 won't play PS3 games, but I mean use Blu-ray's 50GB capacity to put two copies of the game on the same disc, and it will be great for people transitioning from PS3 to PS4. I kinda doubt they'd do it, but if they did I think it'd be great.
I'm excited for this game because I really like inFamous 1,2, & FoB Also, I live in Seattle, so having an inFamous game take place where I live sounds like it will be really cool.
I'm a huge fan of the God of War series, but no, I think they should move on to a new series. I'd like to see what else they can come up with. Please don't milk it dry. Assassin's Creed games being a yearly release really reduces the quality of the games. I'd be much more excited about AC4 if AC3 was at least two years apart from it, and I'm sure it would also have alot less bugs if they were to take the time and hire some testers.

You're already able to with a somewhat strange workaround, but this seems much better. If you open Twitter, then click a link from there it will open the web browser while the game is still running. If you push the PS button and go back to the game it closes the browser and you'll have to do the whole process again to get it back.
The "multiplayer" is the absolutely worst "game" I have ever played in my entire life. It's even worse than cell phone games and facebook games. You just click through menus, and that's it. There's no actual gameplay at all. Nobody is playing it for fun. Anyone who is "playing" the "multiplayer" is either just checking it out, or trying to get the trophies.
Since this is a prequel, I gotta ask... Should I play this before playing Dead Space 1? Or would it be better to play the first game then this, then DS2? I played the demo and thought it was fun, and I played just the demo of the first game, and didn't get it because I was too busy playing other games. Now that DS2 is out I'm thinking of getting both of them + this one.
