Re: Soapbox: Was Dragon's Crown Just A Joke That Nobody Got?

Now I am not sexist, but who cares if they objectify women? Developers are people too and they can do whatever they want. They can express themselves in any way they like and if you don't like it- you do not buy it. You don't whine and complain. Grow up. They should be offended that you would try to impose your "values" on them and insult their work. Don't you have anything better to do?

Re: Now a Second Sony Exec Says That the Firm's Not Making More 'Mega Budget' First-Party Vita Games

ObviouslyAdachi

I've never seen Sony make such stupid assumptions. Who would buy a Vita just for Now or Remote Play? That makes no sense. Sure, that may persuade a few people, but those people are nuts and probably horrible with money. They are not representative of all potential buyers. The system needs actual games that can be kept and taken out of the house, games that are saved on the Vita. Cloud services cannot be relied on unless the device has internet access everywhere, which virtually all Vitas don't. If triple-a games are too expensive then the Vita ought to just keep relying on indies and brave 3rd parties like it does now.

Re: Talking Point: What Does E3 2014 Tell Us About the Future of the PlayStation Vita?

ObviouslyAdachi

Once again the Vita's future is looking bleak. The only titles I'm looking forward to are Minecraft, Hotline Miami 2, Home, and Hohokum. Freedom Wars? People are excited about that?????? Boring. I don't like the art style, that gameplay is tired, and the premise certainly is not "brilliant" as IGN might like you to believe. I mean come on, million year sentences and doing good deeds to lessen them? Sounds like a ten year old made that up, no offense ten year olds. This doesn't look promising AT ALL but I am sure we'll get some more "blockbusters" eventually.

Re: Talking Point: Is Watch Dogs Proof That You Can Have Too Much of a Good Thing?

@get2sammyb That's the thing! I CAN choose NEITHER. I WOULD choose NEITHER. Both of those kinds of games will die out if they don't sell. If they sell, so be it. They must be what gamers want. If they don't, well maybe the devs will learn and try harder. It is very possible to make a 20 or 100+ hour game that's perfectly crafted all the way through. Natural selection, man. Let gamers discriminate. Let gamers shape gaming. WE are the consumers, WE decide what the standards are- not the developers.

Re: Talking Point: Is Watch Dogs Proof That You Can Have Too Much of a Good Thing?

I say let the gamers be ourageously demanding and insatiable. Letting games that are "short" or "lacking" in content die out is part of a natural process called natural selection. The games that fail should die and will die, even if they are "good" games. Stop impeding the process. Let gamers groan. It will press developers to push limits and breed better games. So yeah, I wanna know how long or short a game is. It's my money and I have the right. If a company like Rockstar or Ubisoft or whoever, as great as they are, fails to deliver what gamers demand, they will fade away and rightfully so.

Re: Review: God of War Collection (PlayStation Vita)

I never played GoW before I got this game, for some reason. I don't know if it's just because I never played it on the PS3, but none of these problems stick out to me. I didn't notice any of them, except the sound compression, until I read this article. But it's definitely a great addition to my massive Vita library.

Re: Store Update: 13th May 2014 (North America)

Borderlands 2 Vita is awesome. I got it yesterday, and I've put about six or eight hours into it already. I have not seen one frame rate drop. Not. One. The cutscenes can be a bit pixelated sometimes, but that's the only visual downside. The game looks great. It doesn't look washed out and it doesn't have weird shadows-none of those claims are true. The load times are also not long at all and the controls mapped to the touch pad are very responsive. This might be my new favorite Vita game.

Re: Sony: PlayStation Vita Is Proving to Be a Big Niche Device

ObviouslyAdachi

I love my Vita. I play handheld games way more than console games, maybe I'm just weird. Everyone is so skeptical about the Vita, and for no good reason. They just need to figure out how to make more people experience it, because virtually everyone that buys it falls in love with it. Also, I think that this new Vita Slim will only slow the sales rate, if anything. I mean who wants to look at that screen? And "longer battery?" Psh, I keep my Vitas brightness half way up and it lasts well over seven yours of regular use. Sony's estimates are very wrong. They're just hurting themselves, that's their biggest problem.

Re: Hardware Review: PS Vita Slim - Screen if You Wanna Go Faster

ObviouslyAdachi

You realize that it doesn't cost them much to make the on-board memory larger, right? Memory is the biggest scam in the tech industry. It only costs less than a nickel to double a memory card's size. A 16gb and a 32gb card cost Sony just about the same. The only reason there isn't more on-board storage is because then we wouldn't have to buy their proprietary memory cards.

Re: Soapbox: How a Niche PS Vita Exclusive Made Me Feel Wanted

ObviouslyAdachi

I think they should have more games aimed at the female audience. That being said, they need to do it right. Female characters are often unintentionally portrayed as weaker and more annoying. Take Aveline from AC: Liberation, for example. I know that Liberation wasn't specifically geared toward female gamers, but I turn her voice down and put a hood on her whenever I play because she's just so annoying and I can't feel badass with her awful voice acting. I think that the problem with games that are geared toward girls is not the quantity, but the quality.
