Re: PS5's Limited SSD Storage Space Cannot Be Upgraded at Launch

ShootMePlease

What agitates me most about this is that it should be enabled at launch. Because while it may not be ideal to drop big bucks on a PCIE gen 4 drive for PS5 games at launch, I should be able to put in a PCIE gen 3 NVME SSD into that slot to use in the same manner as an external drive. That would keep me from using up one of 3 USB ports and keep everything looking tidy. The PCIE slot on the console should act no different than the high speed USB ports so I don't really see why that isn't an option.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want to Know About PS5?

@get2sammyb How about whether or not the PS5 will support 1440p monitors? Because lets be honest, 4k@120hz is a pipe dream and I would much rather have 1440p@120hz over 4k/60hz and 1080p/120hz. Plus having 1440p will make consoles more competitive in FPS shooters like CoD that have crossplay against PCs with uncapped frame rates.

@GamingVeteran what you're talking about? 4k high refresh rate won't be possible this gen. By allowing 1440p 120Hz Sony would allow games for competitive gaming between console and PC cross play. Especially when it comes to first person shooters. The 1440p resolution you think is useless is in fact the best mix of resolution and framerate and is in all honesty what Sony and Microsoft should have been targeting this generation. You'd be surprised at how popular 1440p monitors are becoming becoming considering that Asus, Samsung, LG, and BenQ are pushing out more of these monitors than they are of their 4k counterparts. The existence of 1440 is part of the reason why 4k hasn't caught on as fast as people wanted it to and not everyone wants to play on a tv with crappy post processing and way more input lag than what could be had on a monitor.

@get2sammyb Input lag most definitely needs to be added to the criteria and Vizio has some more budget oriented 4K TVs with some of the lowest levels of input lag. The TVs you listed are nice but it would probably be best to note the best performers in different price ranges.
