Re: Free-to-Play Action RPG Genshin Impact Launches on PS4 in September

SilentHero

The game looks nice, but I already dropped Duel Links (for Legacy of the Duelist on Switch), Omnia Opera (grinding got annoying) KHX (took too long for the interesting story missions), Grimoire of Souls (when will you come to US, dammit!), and Fate/GO still has access to my wallet (good story, only newer Fate game out there, except Extella Link). But I'd rather contribute to Kickstarter games that I know I would play (Bloodstained delivered and it was great).

Re: Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's Final Update Set for March, No Sequel Planned

SilentHero

@FullbringIchigo
I agree with the idea of a remaster for PSP Dissidia on Switch, at least (also hoping the rumor of a FFVII: Legacy Edition to be true). Sadly, NT felt like another game to jump on the trending band wagon on online fighting multiplayers that didn't quite land, except for its ongoing roster of fan favorite characters (plus it didn't help that it dropped the same weekend as DBFighterz and Monster Hunter World). The story of the PSP Dissidia games was finished and NT felt like a sequel that reached out to a newer audience rather than the hardcore fans. The story of Omnia Opera was more entertaining and seems to be more focused than NT. And the "FREE-to-Pay-," uh, "Free-to-Play" aspect for console games feels like a more desperate cash grab when more DLC content will be added to the game anyway (similar to Xenoverse 2). Dissidia Final Fantasy may become another series that ended with another game being less than ideal, but here's to hope that time will change that and Square will try again, but go back to its PSP formula or another company will try their hand at it with something that will appeal to both old and new fans of the franchise.

Re: Guide: Jump Force - All Confirmed Characters

SilentHero

I've been seeing quite a bit of concern for the lack of female characters lately-and I agree. I know this is an old topic to bring up, but I'll share my list of Female Characters for Jump Force that could work with reasoning (personal or otherwise) and would like to know some of your guys' thoughts for candidates:
note this list is not in order of Want but order of candidates I thought of
1. Medaka Kurokami/Medaka Box - This character is highly requested/suggested among fans and I'm right there with them. She appeared in J-Stars Victory VS as playable and was a fun character to use. Also, Weekly Shonen Jump doesn't have too many leading female protagonists in their series, so I think she would be a good choice.
2. Android 18/Dragon Ball - As one of the few female fighters in the series before Super, she is one of the top (arguably No. 1) female fan favorites in the franchise. I can see her added to the story as a mercenary for hire kind of character for Jump Force, since she had a similar role in Xenoverse.
3. Noelle Silva/Black Clover - Another character highly requested/suggested due to the rising popularity of the series. Although Black Clover is still ongoing, having only one character added to represent the franchise seems a little lackluster. Plus, having another long ranged fighter wouldn't be bad.
4. Mai Valentine/Yu-Gi-Oh! - One of the few (if not only) strong female Duelists from the original series, she would obviously play similar to Yugi, but with some noticeable differences. Her Harpie Ladies would show quick rushes and formations that would make for some entertaining gameplay. Also, with how she has played both supportive protagonist and antagonist roles in the franchise, she could possibly play either role for the game's plot.
5. Yoruichi Shihōin/Bleach - A fan favorite among the community (myself included), she would make for another interesting addition. Although I never personally became very interested in Bleach, her popularity and battle prowess would make much sense why she would be on most peoples' lists. And with the addition of Bleach characters forms from the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, there would be a chance to see her in a new form as well.
6. Sarada Uchiha/Boruto: Naruto Next Generations - With the addition of Boruto to the game and franchise ongoing, adding another character to represent the franchise would make sense. Although Boruto is considered a "Naruto" representative by some making a total of 6 and no confirmation of Sakura in the game, I think Sarada would make a good choice (considering Shippuden Naruto and Boruto are now in the same world). Since the game doesn't have a lot of Uchiha characters, Sarada would show some of the best of both worlds (pun intended XP).
7. Lala Satalin Deviluke/To LOVE-Ru - Some would say this character would be highly unlikely and they wouldn't be wrong, but so far Jump Force hasn't shown a lot of something that Weekly Shonen Jump has an affinity for other than action-comedy. Another character who appeared in J-Stars Victory VS, Lala would be another character to represent an older franchise that has popularity. Despite not being a "fighter", Lala's creative inventions would make her out as more of a "joke character", but a fun one nevertheless.
8. Ochaco Uraraka/Boku no Hero Academia - Another fan favorite in the franchise and highly requested/suggested character, she would definitely offer something unique for the game. Personally I would be thrilled to see Tsuyu Asui in the game to also represent an ongoing series I very much enjoy, but I don't think she would add much to the game's plot. Thanks to One's Justice, Ochaco would have a fighting style to go off of for a fighting game, unless they would plan to start from scratch.
9. Arale Norikami/Dr. Slump - I personally know nothing of the franchise, but know that it has been ongoing for years and Arale is an icon. Another character who appeared in J-Stars Victory VS, she would another character to represent an older series (getting old yet?). Another joke character of sorts and going toe to toe with Goku and Vegeta in Super, who else would want to see her go up against Luffy, Ichigo, Jotaro or Kenshiro?
10. Nami/One Piece - So far, we've seen some of the most epic fighters from the Straw Hat Crew make their debut in Jump Force...so why not Cat Burglar Nami? She has been around since the being of the franchise and would make for another interesting combatant or possibly plot character. I've played the Pirate Warrior games and thought her gameplay wasn't quite my cup of tea, but still interesting and seeing that in Jump Force would be a treat.
Anywho, that's my list. My apologies for getting a little carried away and I would like to hear some of your guys' thoughts or opinions.

Re: Guide: Jump Force Open Beta Test - Dates, Times, and Characters

SilentHero

Hopefully the servers won't be under maintenance for set periods of time like last the last one. The cast doesn't look bad, and there is still a list of characters I would like to see added either by launch or DLC (if that becomes an option). This game looks interesting and I would like to get a feel for it before deciding on a buy.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII's Snow Punches His Way into Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

SilentHero

I'm a little surprised to be honest, but not by a whole lot given that the data mining showed his name. Still, the game gets another brawler, which was something I was hoping for (even though I was hoping for Tifa instead of Yuna). I haven't played the game in a while (along with a list of other games), but depending on who else gets added to Dissidia I may pick it up again in the future.
