Poll: Did You Buy the Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden Remasters?

The poll is missing the option "I am playing them on Game Pass for free because of the 120hrz option that they did not include in the other ports".

Seriously, I have played Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 and the OG Persona 4 back when they initially released. I won't do it again. The silent protagonist thing was outdated even back then and I hate it as a concept, makes all those cutscenes soulless. Also, I am not a fan of how the Story concluded in P4.

I intend to, though I'm not sure if I'll do it now or a bit down the line, when the inevitable 25% or more sale hits.

Not like I'm rushing to play them, so why not wait and save a few quid?

I am not going to support these far inferior versions of the games because Microsoft money hatted Sega for an exclusive current gen version just as they did with Yakuza Like A Dragon. With all the crap Sony takes for this practice, Microsoft gets a free pass for the same tactics. I will buy both when and if PlayStation gets PS5 native games.

Yeah, needs to be an option “playing on GamePass”. There’s a lot of dual-console owners here. Not offensive to PlayStation but just saving some money.

Rather use my time and money for One Piece Odyssey and Monochrome Mobius than play the same jRPG (or games in general) over and over.

Not even my PC GamePass subscription makes it worth it. So many new games on PC/PS5 I need to play

Joining those with the gamepass option, though when they get a deep sale i'll buy them on Switch for the portability before they leave gamepass.

I love how people think PlayStation users are somehow offended by the fact you can play these on GamePass. We have been playing these for ages…Ps2 (2!) stuff. I am glad some other people are experiencing them and with how JRPGs fare on Xbox it was a smart move to get some money and put them on GamePass.

I love that they’ve been resurrected from the Vita graveyard (and PSTV), and I love the characters and stories in the Persona games, but I just can’t get past that dungeon design. Just me, I know loads of people love them

@Agramonte for me is like 5 times is enough but yeah too many new games coming out to replay these again.

I don't like being served scraps from the floor so when Atlus shows us the same respect they show Microsoft and give us proper PS5 versions then yeah I will buy them instantly at full price 👍

I will buy P3P (never played before) and P4G (played it on Vita and Steam) but I will wait for a sale (if I can keep myself in check....might be too hard with these games though lol)

I'll get Golden probably next week. P4G is probably top 5 of all time favorite games for me. Back when it came out in 2012, I shared a Vita with my brother. When I moved out, he got to keep it so I've never been able to play it again.

When I was around 17 these two games where my favourites, right after my Fallout, Skyrim, World at War and Bad Company 2 faze..Really fell into them (yes that was a persona 4 reference).
I have no idea if I played them for the first time today if I’d like them as much as my tastes have changed and I’m older but I imagine I’ll still enjoy replaying then thanks to nostalgia supplementing that feeling!

I'll probably just get the Persona 3 PSP version on the Vita. I already have Persona 4 and after watching some gameplay, they barely did anything to the games, which is kind of sad.

Of course, I bought, at least, Persona 4 Golden, so far. I am supporting the devs as a real gamer should.
Not this renting nonsense that forces to fire 10.000 employees which a bunch are developers cause the digital rental model evidently isn't substantial at all.
I will not have that blood on my hand. I leave this to the fake gamers who wanna see the game industry in shambles.
Btw, if, for the very unlikely reason, any dev that got fired by the company who keeps shoving this digital rental nonsense down the industry's throat, Sony's Bungie, Guerrilla Games and Bluepoint Studios are hiring.

Persona 3 is a masterpiece in tone and atmosphere but I won't be double-dipping. Won't reward Atlus for draggin their feet & milking the fanbase dry.

@ShogunRok Not sure what’s “dreadful” about it. People owning both systems being honest about just playing them on GamePass. Is it against the law for PushSquare readers? You can still love PlayStation but be open to all the options available to us.

Gaming is an expensive hobby. Might as well take advantage of where we can save some money.

I am playing both of them on Game Pass as I did with P5R, and will buy them on Switch if there ever is a physical release (I love those tiny red boxes stacked up on my shelves.)

Honestly, despite me stating I'll play it on GamePass, I agree it should not be an option in the survey, since this is a PlayStation centric site.

Could just be a generic option “Yeah, I’m playing them but on a different console”. At least you’d have a valid way to poll the entire readership. Just my 2 cents. It’s no big deal.

People claiming 120hz give some kind of benefit in these games haven’t played them before. Which, I guess, is why it happened on Xbox.
Still, now I know this I won’t get 3 until the definitive version comes out. Just because that type of thing is insultjj in g from the publisher.

I'll probably wait for a price drop just due my backlog of unfinished games. I loved 5 and it was my first foray into the persona series so I'm looking forward to trying out both games!

Idk why people are so offended by the lack of a PS5 version. Yeah the corporate nonsense with how off the deal between Microsoft and Atlus is for these ports is cringe, but the actual experience itself isn’t compromised. A turn based RPG being 60fps and not 120 isn’t a big deal.

I really love Persona 3. Disappointed for the lack of random anime cutscenes not in the PSP version, but excited for update look and trophies. Price a bit much, so waiting for a good sale some time. I have enough to play.

I am a jrpg fanatic but the persona games do nothing for me.
Persona 5 has such high praise but i find it such a slog to get through.

I honestly got these games for free on PC...Epic I think. They are on my back log, but I will be playing them eventually.

Bought P4G and I’m loving it. Can’t wait to continue later tonight. I’ll buy P3P when they fix the bugged trophies

Yep, I ended up buying both since I never played them before or the original P3 and P4. I heard that there was an audio quality issue with P3P but it probably won't bother me that much. Currently playing P4G first and been loving it so far.

I'm skipping these for now, but only because I've played both P3P and P4G within the last couple of years. Still, they're both excellent games.

I love Teddie at least in his zipped up mode. He's a complete degenerate but he's adorable and you can't get mad at him. Unzipped doesn't work as much, admittedly. Which sounds oddly appropriate in context.

I've played 4 again very recently on the vita, but I'll prob buy it one day.
3 I'll probably buy quite soon, though I'm put off a little by the choice of port. The psp version had cutbacks to compensate for the memory size, I wish they'd gone a bit further and took the best of both versions.

Love the people offended. Yet everyone celebrates that Harry Potter game is getting exclusive content on PS5, despite costing the same as the Xbox version....

Love having them all and can benefit for whichever they put out. ***** practices? Yes, but let's admit it, this is something that Sony does far more often that Microsoft (Hogwarts, Call of Duty, Spider-man in The Avengers, etc)

@Ralizah the writing in persona q is pretty rough all round to be honest. I remember Kanji in particular had a really tough time in that. He started quite well, giving a big speech about finally accepting who he was, but spent the rest of the game being mocked by everyone.
Great music and gameplay though, I really love those ds make your own map games.

I will absolutely buy it if it is released.

Still own my original copies on PS2 or Vita. If I feel the urge to replay I can always pull them out, especially since it doesn't seem like they added any extra content. Don't really care about frames because... it's a turn based rpg.

@Deoxyr1bose A clean 4K imagine plus faster loading by themselves (assuming there isn't even more improvements!) are a pretty big deal.

Yeah the game it's technically the same either way but I can say the same for it running on Vita, still the same game but I would rather play the ultimate and most polished version of the game which isn't the PS4 version.

Just got P4G going on Game Pass this evening. Played a bunch of the vanilla version on PS3, but it was prone to file corruption so I dropped it.

If they had made a new version of P3 mixing portable and FES i would have. But, portable i already beat.

Even if you love your PS that much, can always play it on Gamepass now and then buy it on PS when it’s on sale down the line. I saw somone one PureXbox say they bought it on PS instead of playing on Gamepass because they want to “own” it. But nothing is stopping them from playing on Gamepass now and then buying it to own later when it’s on sale, saving money all around. Except they clearly just wanted to play on PS that much; i’m guessing for the trophies. I made that mistake with Dark Pictures 1&2 where they were on PS plus but I still bought them on Xbox (on deep sale tbf) and enjoyed them, but like… what was the point? May as well have saved money and played on the sub service.

I got them for the Switch. I think the Switch is perfect for Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal!

Nope didn't buy them. I would have if there was physical versions but I'm going to wait to see what happens with the rumoured P3 remake. Have a new Switch game on the way and a lot of games I need to play before Hogwarts Legacy arrives so I don't have the time to for those anyway.

Brought both on Switch. I already played through P4G on my Vita, and I did own P3P but couldn't get into it for whatever reason. After playing P3P for 6 hours, happy to say I am gelling with it a lot better this time. I will probably buy on PS4 eventually in a sale or whatever so i can do trophy playthroughs.

I have P3P on my PSP, and Golden on my Vita, so... I guess I will be giving a pass on these "remasters"If I wanted to play them on the big screen I would play them on gamepass.

Started P4G on Gamepass yesterday. It’s pulled me in already. So no I did not buy, but I’m playing 4.

I bought the 2 game bundle on the PS store. I played some of the original Persona 4 but stopped when I heard golden was getting ported to new hardware. Never tried 3 but I’m excited to play both.

Microsoft arnt stopping sony from having a ps5 version.

I think I got 4 on steam, probably my least favorite game of the bunch but it's the only I've never fully completed (mostly because like a idiot I thought it was a good idea to play 4 right after I had finished 3 before).

Donno If I'm really in the mood for 3 and even if I was I think I'd prefer to play the FES version instead.

I bought Persona 4 on my Steam Deck and have got Persona 3 FES to play on it too. I would have bought Persona 3 but I just think FES looks better.

Yes I bought both of them and I play The Originals, I'm playing on the Xbox series X and I'm enjoying them very much.

I still can't decided whether to play p3 & p4g on my series x (gamepass), buy it on the switch, or my steam deck.
