Looking at the schedule, April feels a bit like the calm before a storm. While this month certainly does have its fair share of big releases, so many blockbusters are all queued up for May and June (especially June). Still, over the next four weeks, we've got the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Dead Island 2, and hyped expansion Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores, with a bunch of smaller releases sprinkled in between.
But as always, we want to know which games you're most looking forward to. Vote for your most anticipated title in our poll, and then explain yourself in the comments section below.

Dead Island 2 and maybe Star Wars 2 assuming I get around to playing the first from PS Plus. The problem now is finding time.
Burning Shores by a mile.
Dusted off my year-old save of Forbidden West to refamiliarize myself with the controls. The first thing I learned was that Revelio is in the wrong spot on the controller...lol
Mega Man, which Iāll get for my Switch, Horizon, which is already preordered, and Star Wars, but Iāll wait for it to hit GamePass.
Definitely Burning Shores. I might pick up Jedi Survivor at launch, but it just looks a bit underwhelming at the moment.
The Golf game with John Cenaš
No, the only one is Star Wars Survivor. But to be honest, I'm living in a pile of games, it's exhausting like work to fight this mass.
And I'm not even buying open world games anymore, but it's still too much.
So I'm not hyped to get Star Wars.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Also surprised how decent Dead Island 2 looks in the previews so far.
@grapetrap Hearing Revelio gives me ptsd š„
Monster Hunter baby š¦š¦ Rise is sick but after 100+ hours, I've kinda experienced what it has to offer.
My choice.

Due to 28 April 2023.
I only play kids games.
@grapetrap @GorosBat Sometimes it seems all roads lead to Hogsmeade
Has to be Burning Shores. First time since Ratchet and Clank (?) we will have seen a first party PS5 exclusive - i suppose there was Last of Us pt 1 too, but that was more of a remaster
Only really interested in Horizon and Jedi Survivor but I also voted Dead Island 2 because itās the only other game I might try at some point.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for me! Currently playing through Fallen Order and loving it. Will pick up Survivor when I'm done for sure
Burning Shores pre-ordered the moment it went live.
I'm going to wait on reviews for Jedi, if it doesn't improve a lot of stuff from the original I'll wait for price drop on that.
I just spent way too long scrolling up and down looking for FFXVI before realising it said "April 2023ā rather than just "2023ā. Then I couldn't see Process of Elimination even though that's the only game this month I'm looking forward to, so didn't vote for it. Then I saw it after I'd submitted my vote for 3 games I'm not particularly looking forward to. Am I getting old? Is that burning toast I can smell?
Sunbreak > HFW >Dead island (tbh probably a future sale game)
@Rob_230 I couldnāt imagine travelling without flu powder.
If I had a PS5, I'd be grabbing Burning Shores.
Itās the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for me. Canāt wait for the former, will wait on reviews for the latter.
Haven't played Forbidden West yet, otherwise I would probably be excited for Burning Shores.
Jedi: Survivor does look good, and Fallen Order was decent, but I am not paying full price for an EA title, especially since it will likely go on sale for $20 within a year or two.
So basically, Mega Man Battle Network is what I'm actually anticipating at the moment, and even that I will probably pick up on Switch instead of PS.
Definitely MH Rise Sunbreak. I'm craving a real actual challenge that the base game just didn't give, and I heard the expansion amps it up plenty
I also want to pick up the Mega Man battle network games cause it's not every day you get handheld exclusive games on home consoles. And im eyeing grimgrimoire and star wars
1- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
2- Live A Live (looking forward for the platinum)
3- Cannon Dancer an underrated indie
Extra: Sherlock: The Awakened & maybe Dead Island if it comes out good
Never even seen a Dead Island game playing but caught a vid of Dead Island 2 an it looks fantastic. Not a serious game, just unadulterated violence an gore an great fun. Pre ordered it!!
Jedi Survivor (but I will buy in may) and Burning Shores for sure!!
Burning Shores (which I already preordered)
And Jedi: Survivor if it's gonna be better than the first - waiting to see the reviews.
That's about it for April, the other titles present no interest for me.
EDIT: There's also Bramble: The Mountain King that's not on the list, it launches on April 27 on PS5/4/VR and the rest of the platforms. Nice looking game, curious to see the reviews.
Well nothing there tickles my fancy and screams must buy. So no vote frome.
@Ralizah Weāve got two in our house. Mine and then one in the kids room
Forbidden West DLC without a doubt. It's as exciting as a brand new game.
And if I hadn't played Monster Hunter Sunrise on Switch, it will be in my list too. It's an amazing DLC too.
Star wars jedi survivor.horizon forbidden west burning shores.dead island.and monster hunter sunbreak all looks amazing.word up son
Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, but in all honesty, although a game I want to buy and play on release, I'm still a year or two behind in my gaming so it might get put in the back catalogue alongside God of War Ragnarok, Horizon: Forbidden West and Hogwarts Legacy š¬š¬š¬
Damn you PS Plus Extra catalogue and time sink sports games š¤ and my 'only play one RPG/open world game at a time and very slowly' mentality š
I actually started playing HFW again from the beginning (platinumed it on PS4) to get ready for Burning Shores.
I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but we have never had such a gluttony of game selection. I really want Dead Island to be decent, but I'll still wait 3 months so Dam Busters can patch the living hell out of it, no way it releases in a great state
1. Burning Shores
2. SW: Jedi Survivor
Great month for me.
As a good practice, no one should buy these big games day one and wait for patches and ease of life fixes.
So many games are so much better 6 months or a year after release. Plus you get a chance to have a price drop/deal, free dlc, or even a Complete Edition.
Almost definitely getting SW Jedi survivor, and Dead Island 2 is a possibility. I would get Burning shores but I never got around to finishing the main game š³
Money is tight right now and Iām mostly playing PS Plus Extra games. But Iām picking up Burning Shores because itās only 19.99.
Time to reinstall Forbidden West from my Collectorās Edition disc copy.
I'm really not too excited for any of these, but Minecraft Legends looks like it would be fun to play with the family.
Pre-ordered Live A Live and Burning Shores, but will probably pick up Jedi Survivor as well. The Megaman collection is tempting too. The Battle Network games are awesome and the collection has 10 games if you include the different versions of a few in the package (similar to PokĆ©mon games having slightly different versions). Really thereās too much to play these days and itās becoming a chore to keep up with even the best of the best.
Burning shores for me cannot wait to get back on horizon
Dead Island and Star Wars will be the two for me. I will dabble into Minecraft too but will give that a go on Xbox.
1. HFW: Burning Shores
2. GrimGrimoire OnceMore
3. Mega Man Battle Network Collection
Itās gonna be a great month!
Picked up HFW during Black Friday sale, shortly after finally found a PS5. Really enjoyed it, so planning on getting BS DLC fairly soon, possibly pre-order.
Recently bought SW Jedi: Fallen Order on sale for $3.99 and have been enjoying it for the most part, being almost to the end. Since it does have a few frustrations (mainly being ambushed by multiple enemies in close quarters), I may hold off on Survivor for a bit.
Star Wars, Dead Island, Sunbreak and Horizon DLC are my planned purchases this month. Stacked month for sure.
Star Wars and Sunbreak are easily the best. Horizon FW didn't live up to the first game for me, and Aloy's personality and constant fluff talking became too grating.
Honestly nothing just waiting for ff 16 and spider-man 2
Truly only the Forbidden west DLC.
Nothing else on this list peaks my interest, but that DLC may bridge the gap till Diablo 4 and FF16
None of them, if I'm really honest, but I've pre-ordered the Horizon DLC, so I thought I'd better vote that. I didn't realise Dead Island 2 was finally coming out, either. Though if it's quite slapstick I don't think I'll be that interested.
@Uncharted2007 I feel you brotha. 2 kids don't leave a lot of room for gaming haha. Jedi fallen order was worth it IMO. Not just saying that as a Star Wars fanboij
Star Wars and Dead island for sure.
š sim
Hope scalpers don't take all the copies. š¤Ŗ
Maybe Burning Shores? Iām not sold on it currently, but thats about all that I could say in April. Next new thing for me on PS is the Forspoken DLC and, where full games are concerned, FF16. Iāll pick up TotK too, but thatās not PS. Iāll be reducing my gaming spend a lot this year too, so Iām not making anymore āmeh, Iām mildly interestedā and then barely play the game purchases, so thatās changing what Iād pick up across all platforms.
MH Rise Sunbreak is awesome but I already have it on Switch so the only thing that interests me a little bit is Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. Not super high on my list of most-wanted games so I may or may not get it right away.
I'm only looking forward to getting these two games. Everything else I'll wait for dirt cheap sales in a few years.
1.) Horizon: Forbidden West - Burning Shores DLC
2.) Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
