I’m 39, started for me on an old amstrad computer with the tape deck for loading the games.(anyone??) my first console, if you could call it that was the Atari 2600. I had a Sega Megadrive (ahhh sonic my old friend. Up, down, left, right, A,B,C,C,B,A hold ABC down and start button at the same time, unlocked the levels so you could play whatever one you wanted! (Correct me if I’m wrong) then I had a few Nintendo’s, but the game changer for me was PS1 and the game was Resident Evil. It’s been PlayStation ever since. My favourite game so far is resident evil 4.

I'm 36. My first ever gaming thing was a Commodore 64 and I am old enough to firmly believe that everything was better back in my day and that you kids don't know you're born.

Thank the maker that I'm not the only ageing bugger here over 40. I've got fond nostalgic memories of playing games like Defender, Chopper Command and Pole Position on the old Atari 2600. Good times.

Stay young, people.

I am 26, my first system was a PS2 and Rule of Rose was amazing on this system. I now have a PS4 Pro VR system of course.

The PSVR is the best VR system on the market today.

33. First game I remember owning was Sonic 1 on my brothers Mega Drive. We queued up outside ToysR'Us and my mum paid £40 for (early 90s that's a fortune). First PS1 I got was Christmas 97 with FF7, Pandemonium, Broken Sword and Command & Conquer. All downhill since then!

I thought I had commented on a thread like this already... perhaps I did on NL but not here. shrug

24 years old. First game was Donkey Kong Country 3 on SNES when I was around 4 or 5 years old. SNES was gifted to my family by a friend. Primarily grew up playing Street Fighter 2, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3, Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, then Ocarina of Time and SM64. Heavy Nintendo bias as a result.

Not sure I had what you would call a favourite game, but Ocarina of Time is one I go back to frequently. Zelda is probably my favourite series, but I also love the Yakuza series. I like to imagine that I have varied taste, but again, still have a Nintendo bias.

Signature, huh? Where do I sign?

41 and feel every minute of it right now (I’ve had to take a month long break from training as my shoulders were just completely blown and I actually feel worse for the lay-off). Started with a ZX Spectrum 48k at 4, then a Commodore 64, Sega Megadrive, Sega Game Gear, Sega Saturn, Sony PlayStation, N64, Sega Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, Wii, PSP, Xbox 360, PS4, Switch and PS5.

For as long as I’ve been gaming, the PS4 is my favourite generation/console of the bunch. Never before had such a consistent stream of so many great games before these last 7 years.

I’m younger than everyone else so far.😂 wouldn’t know by the first few consoles I played. I started with Atari 2600 and SNES, despite not being alive for when those beauties released😂

25. I feel older, and according to some look it, but my birth certificate reads 1995.

My earliest gaming memory is playing Super Mario World on my mom's SNES. I was maybe 3 at the time, but either way I've spent almost all of my life gaming. And I'll probably spend more of life gaming in the future.

I'm a ripe ol' 23 with my first console being SNES and first game Super Mario Bros 3! It's amazing how that game is still fun today. Then onto N64 and PS1. My only regrets being I never owned a Gamecube or Wii

Currently Playing:

Rainbow 6: Siege, Kingdom Hearts 2 (1st time), Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

I'm 43. I started playing games on the Spectrum ZX followed by the Commodore 64, I also played on my friend's Atari 2600 and 5200 from time to time as well back when I was just a wee thing.

@RubyCarbuncle very similar to myself, I’m one year younger but also started with a Spectrum before moving onto a Commodore 64. Fave game on both?

RubyCarbuncle

@colonelkilgore I used to like playing games called Park Patrol, Trail Blazer and Paradroid for the Commodore 64 for the Spectrum ZX I would often play Manic Miner and a game called 3D Tanx. I can't really remember what I played on my friend's Ataris tbh, it's so long ago and honestly I didn't play on them very often when compared to the Spectrum ZX and Commodore 64.
