for those of you from nintendo life that have read recent posts I did indeed get a PS3 at launch but it died a couple years ago so it's been such a long time since I had a PS3 I feel like a Noob lol
Yea, I agree with Strofan7, it definitely feels more like a suppliment than a must-have. just not enough games utilising it, even after being released for several months. We're still getting FPS games that haven't incorporated it at all among other types of game, some games have incorporated it but not very well, and hardly any previously released games are getting patched to use it. I really do like the Move and want it to succeed. I have a few Move games including Killzone and Sports Champions (Gladiator Duel and Table Tennis on SC are both amazing) and am looking forward to SOCOM next. But really, I was hoping for a lot more support for it in upcoming games. I'd say to check see if there are any games u really do want for it and take it from there. If you're not so bothered about the ones released so far, then if I were you, I'd wait.
I think it depends on the games you want to play on your PS3. most of the games on my PS3 I'm playing don't support the Move at all. While I like my Move, I'm really not using it that much.
As you already have a lot of motion controlled games on your Wii, the appeal of the Move might even be less -- unless you really just want to play the PS3 motion controlled games because that's what your into.
At this point, the Move games I play, I do so mostly because of the novelty of it. The games are great, but I mostly like RPGs like DCUO, Red Dead Redemption, ME2... and sports games. I'll pick up KZ3 one day, but for me for now the move is just a change of pace.
Definitely worth buying and checking out. Not only for cool new games like SOCOM and KZ3, but also for Time Crisis, Heavy Rain, Dead Space: Extractions, Move Heroes, and even the Sports Champions is fun.
It depends of what you're looking for. The controls are well made and deliver a good experience but not much different from the Wii. If you're looking for combining movement control and HD than it is the only way around. However, if HD graphics are not a must, then you should think twice before investing money on it.
So far I played Sports Champions and Killzone 3. I found the former much worse than Wii Sports Resort, whereas the later was very good, but not because of the Move controls. Perhaps it was the software, but I found move to be less accurate than the Wii remote when doing subtle movements. Also, the disposition of buttons in the navigation controller was not ergonomic as well as the start and reset buttons in the move controller. I also played the demo for Top Spin 4 and it is terrible; you will do far better with Grand Slam Tennis.
So far, I don't think move justified the money I placed on it, but I hope future releases will make it so.
