Interested in when my PushSquare colleagues game and for how long?
Personally I work full time and am married with 3 kids. We have one TV (admittedly large) which is shared by everyone.
The only free time I normally get to game is between 10:30pm (after my wife finishes watching TV) and 1am when I drag myself to bed.
I occasionally get to play during the day on weekends but with the kids am limited to games that don't focus on blood and killing people. Hence my interest in racing and flight sims.
1-2 hours a day during the week and "maybe" 3-4 on the weekend. I think I would average about 10-12 hours per week.
What about everyone else? I get the impression many people here have more freedom than me. But maybe I'm wrong.
I'm with you Ginkgo -- I don't game as much as I'd like! I usually put in an hour or so after my wife's gone to bed and usually get in a good session on Sunday if she's at work. I've been able to game much more than usual recently as my wife was on holiday for a week, and we play a bit of Mario Kart Wii together sometimes.

James, you were one of the people I would have thought got lots more time than me to game. Wherever do you find time to do all the reviews including NintendoLife?

I wish! I don't actually review that many games these days -- think I've done eight or nine for NL all year, and only one for Push Square. I'm actually pretty lazy when it comes to reviews ;D
Most of my work here is on news, features and organisation behind the scenes, but I still get in a fair amount of gaming (usually handheld), just not as much as I used to!
Yep, have no way near the same time I had for gaming as I did a few years ago. I still find time to play the odd console game that interests me. So I'll usually put a few hours in every couple of days, and a big session on the weekend if I don't have anything on.
Most of my gaming occurs at night. I'm in the same boat as you, Ginko. I've got two kids so I either have to wait until they're in bed or play something very family-friendly while they are awake. Fortunately, they have early bed times. My wife also works until around 10-11ish at night so that gives me a bit more time.
Basically, once all the family responsibilities are done, I get my game on.
Well, I'm currently doing Uni full-time. When not doing that, I work out and/or write some of my novel.
When it comes to games, I find I only have time to play at night or on weekends...I'm actually currently playing through Okami at the moment (which is awesome), and after I finish that, I'm planning to have a go at the Devil May Cry HD Collection.
It sucks though...I have a crap-tonne of games that I've still got to play; many of them being 100-hour epics...I seriously need to invent a device that stops time!
I need two in case one breaks and I need a way to unfreeze time again. I don't want to have the world permanently frozen in time! That is if the concept of permanence applies if time doesn't apply...
I am pretty much in the same boat as most people who have replied to this thread. Most of my gaming time is at night when the kid is in bed and the wife is doing her thing like Facebook or reading. When I do game during the day its when my son challenges me to a race in Mario Kart Wii or Mario Kart 7, or a match in GoldenEye.

I love being young! only one job i have to worry about and no kids
depending on the day i usually can play 2 or 3 hours in the afternoon and maybe 2 hours at night if i feel like it. But when i get a new game, i sit down, grab some peanuts and a gallon of water and i play the game for a good 5-6 hours, followed by an another good 5 hours the next morning
