Bloodborne is an awesome, if not frustrating, hard game even to approach. Satisfaction for victory is enhanced by the infinite times we are gonna meet the Reaper and its world is a maze full of secrets to discover and monsters to slay. In order to help and cheer each other up in this hard adventure, I would like to create a virtual place where we can discuss, ask questions, organize coop matches, vent our frustration and basically say everything we want related to this huge universe created by From Software (Thank you guys!). So please, stop for a beer and share your thoughts while you are travelling across Yarnham! I hope this will help all of us to become Hunter Masters!
Was going to make this thread myself, so thanks for posting it @arnoldlayne83. I'm really interested to hear from new hunters who've never played a Souls game before. How are you guys getting on?

I had quite a taste of dark souls 2 on pc. I feel bloodborne hard but more 'friendly' than ds 2. I am also enjoying more its fast pace, almost an hybrid between a souls and an action game like bayonetta 2.
Plus this dark gothic rotten enviroinment is great and a bit of fresh (ah-hem) air into gdrs.
I am enjoying it immensely so far, can t stop thinking about killing Gazza tonite. Swear-o-matic mode turn on!
I like it more than the Souls games because you're more mobile and the controls are more responsive. It makes you feel like a boss when you're dodging, running, striking etc. It's a so much more fluid. The only thing I don't like about it so far is that it can feel a bit framey. I hope they can find a way to improve performance just a little bit. Load times don't bother me at all though; I appreciate a little break now and again.
My first night with Bloodborne I got rocked left and right, while not disheartening, it was frustrating. My second session went much better as everything seemed to click. Ended up running a loop or two to grind enough blood echos to purchase the entire Hunter's garb. It grabs my attention more than the Demon Souls & Dark Souls did just due to the pace of play. The block, slash, dodge, repeat of the previous games made it feel bogged down to me. Did anybody else follow the "lemming" path in the Hunter's Dream? One of the reasons I love these types of games.
Oh well I've been waiting for this game so long, first impressions, grand, the graphics in motion look much better than just the standalone image. If you know what I mean. I poured hours into it already, I love the world and everything. I also have SOME Dark Souls 1 experience prior to this so I knew what was awaiting me. I have only ONE major. Big gripe with the game. It's the ridiculous camera. I died on the first boss 2 times before I beat him just because of the camera getting stuck on the bridges boundaries. Same thing with the second one. So many obstacles in the area, good to go into cover and use them to your advantage, bad when backstepping, not seeing when you get trapped in them and setting yourself up for a life-ending combo on the bosses part. Also camera keeps crashing into trees and other environmental stuff, blocking my vision, ultimately making me fail to see my attack-window.
Any tips? I'm madly frustrated right now - close to putting it down, as I am not really good at this game, taking a long time to even make it to the bosses (not now anymore, Level 23, weapon upgraded twice, but initially) and then I just die there because Im wrestling with the environments and the camera more than I'm beating up the boss. Argh.
Also, about the ratings and "system seller" stuff. Honestly, I like what the game is and all, but to me HELLDIVERS is more of a system seller than this is. Because Bloodborne might be awesome but you can play all the "other" games (Souls) on other systems giving you a not too different experience. Helldivers on the other hand is a HECK of a party, couch AND only game with loads of fun and challenge. I don't see too much fun in Bloodborne yet. It DOES feel awesome beating a hard challenge and Im all for the LESS-casual games these days, but still, playing Bloodborne, to me, at the moment, feels like hard work and on top of that I get shafted by the ENGINE more than by the bosses. Thoughts?

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
Bloodborne its the 3D Castlevania game that never was
I really hope Bloodborne will become a stable franchise....
There
by the way... do we know if Sony actually owns the IP ? or its Bayonetta 2 all over again ?
Sony is publisher..... they should also own the rights on the name. Bayonetta was different. The first one was a third party publisher and then Nintendo bought the rights. This seems to be a sony right from beginning. So I believe if they find an agreement with From, they could keep releasing it as an exclusive. Considering that Miyhazaki has already a long background in developing for Sony, I am positive about that

I can only say that the camera automatically position itself behind your shoulder after you roll on the ground. Is it maybe that you, by pressing the camera yourself, mess with it?
I feel that this game gives much more importance to Vitality and Endurance than DkS 1/2 ever did.
Its pretty hard not to get hit, enemies are much faster and stun lock you much easier, i dont think its harder but dont make the same mistake i did, aproach this as a new game, not as a new souls game.
In fact it seems that the Str/Skill weapons dont scale as good as it did in DkS, thwre will be min/max but i thinl that hitting the necessary stats to weild X weapon its more than enough, at least from what ive played
Im about 3/4 of the game it seems and ive been loving it, it was well worth the money, but it does has 3 problems
1. The lack of weapons does hurts
2. The loading times are stupidly long
3. The soft cap of STR/SKL/ARC its so low that going for quality builds seems much more obvious than other games, i feel like im playing the game like they told me to, not the way i want to.
But im loving it, i do fear that the aforementioned 3 problems will hurt the replay value of the game besides PvP, i just dont see how can you create as many builds as you did in DS1/2 here in Bloodborne, you dont seem to have as many options as before

what about the Chalices so far? Did you invest enough time on them or not? are they worth to increase replayability?
