Apologies if there is already a thread on this. I'm at work, and the connection is abysmal.
Thoughts? I was concerned that it would be like God Eater - slow and slightly repetitive, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's stolen a number of ideas wholesale from Dark Souls (quite a lot of them, in fact), but I found it really good fun. Varied movesets, difference between weapons was solid, nice animation and well soundtracked. Whether it can sustain it for a whole game is another matter entirely, but I'm sorely tempted to chuck in a pre-order when there is actually a solid release date.
Oh, I had the Closed Beta code but forgotten to download it over the weekend.:/ Been watching some videos and gameplay looks decent. The character creation looks pretty in-depth too. Do you get any rewards for participating in the Closed Beta?
Yes and no. They make quite a point of saying that there are beta-exclusive items available, and that if you did the Depths dungeon you can get loads of sweet booty. It doesn't actually stipulate whether this carries over to the full game though. It would make the whole endeavour slightly pointless if they are exclusively for use within the beta, but stranger things have happened. It isn't shy about giving you loads of stuff to try though, and even in offline play, you got a reasonable amount of quest to arse about in.
