@KratosMD Stormy Ascent and given thr DLC name is plural people think BETA Sunset Vista.
Those levels were removed for a reason. Too hard. With new physics I definitely think ill pass given the new momwntum based jumping made tricky but doable almost pixel perfect.
I darent think what it does to levels consodered too hard back then.

@KratosMD Its a part of the game they chose to put in so im doing it. Evil, I know.
But yeah its...wow. I wonder if Crash 3 is as borked. It must have been a last minute addition.
The game has had realtively few bugs going through minus dodgy lighting, hitboxes and weird glitches that also involve dying first, like those submerged platforms i showed earlier in the thread.
Actually death seems to cause a lot of these issues.

@KratosMD Just done it myself but couldn't do the bonus level, for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to destroy the 4 tnt boxes then get over the tower boxes before they explode.
I just finished it. Died 24 times, with 11 of those being dumb mistakes. Not as hard as I thought it would be, the bonus round gave me more grief. It just takes some patience and caution.
@adf86 The trick is to break the bottom two creates in the floating stack before using the TNT bridge. One can be broken with an air spin, the other needs the bounce crate. Then use the TNT bridge and jump on what's left of the stack to the platform. Spin the crate, but be careful, as there's a hidden TNT above it. Jump off and you're home free.

I bought this on the weekend, and played through the whole of Crash 1 (minus Stormy Ascent) and made a decent start on Crash 2. Despite some punishing sections, the first game remains a favourite. I played 2 and 3 far less than 1, so I actually have to adjust a bit to the gameplay additions the sequels introduce.
I think I'm going to try and get all the gems and stuff. I will probably fail, or get distracted by one of August's many new releases, but I'll give it a shot. Back on PS1, I never bothered with it, I was just happy playing through the levels
