@nessisonett @Thrillho interesting...I hadn’t heard it till my last play session when I had her interject twice in a row for things I had already figured out. Seemed a little odd, I thought maybe it was added in the update.

@Jimmer-jammer I did have it pop up last night for me after I got the map; once to tell me I could interact with the object and another telling me where to find the map in the menu.

@Thrillho cool! I had it pop again too. Weird how I went a day and half without it occurring...I was able to interact with the guy in the container too. I went back after sending the body to processing so Kim wasn’t with me. Not sure if that changed it or not.

@Jimmer-jammer I had Kim with me. He basically says that he can see the rich guy perfectly well, with no light bending effect. This then makes you question whether Kim is actually really rich. And this is after Kim has been absolutely baffled by the fact there’s somebody in the container in the first place.

@nessisonett interesting. I have noticed that Kim seems to gravitate towards the finer things in life...

@nessisonett @Jimmer-jammer I only went on my own while running around at night so cool to hear how it varies.

Day 3 seems to have rattled along as the other side of the river seems to be a huge area! I did use up a lot of time waiting for the tide to move though..

Thrillho

nessisonett

@Thrillho At least the bug where you waited for the tide in an endless loop is gone 😂

I'm just about to go to sleep on day 3 and it seems like I must have done a significant amount as I've just gone into the FELD building and got a comment about a point of no return so I'm going to clear up some loose ends

It seems you can do shedloads on the coastline after the clock gets to 2am though as I've spent ages doing the church mission and getting everyone sorted there but there is still the paranormal angle to sort which I'll need to ditch Kim for so I can speak to Joyce, unless I pass the check there first with him present

I did have to reload a save though as I ended up losing Kim at one point! In the church after setting everything up I passed a check to get Harry to dance. You can try to convince Kim to join and I failed a 60% check so Harry called Kim a "yellow monkey f**ker" which went down so badly he stormed off.. whoops..

@Thrillho Holy f*** I had no idea you could be so horrible to Kim! I passed that check (so have some brilliant videos saved on my PS5) and didn’t even think about the consequences of failing.

@nessisonett It’s weird as it kind of came out of nowhere as I’ve been so nice to him in the game otherwise!

The irony also being that you get nothing for actually passing the check other than seeing his sweet dance moves as well.

Thrillho

nessisonett

@Thrillho That is the best reward to be honest. Although I passed a Shivers check as part of that and got some major insight into what Shivers actually is.

@nessisonett ooh nice, what’s the story for that then?

I don’t have anything much to do at the moment other than go back to FELD but also to wait for the gathering of my fellow comrades at night time.

@Thrillho Shivers ended up speaking to me with a female voice, saying that it was the ‘spirit of Revachol’, and you interacting with it was to interact with the city itself. It also mentions Revachol being levelled in 20 years by a nuclear device, which I assume is what the sequel with be about preventing. The book that preceded Disco Elysium was set around the time of the nuclear war. Here’s the Shivers text in full during the dance scene.

"I NEED YOU TO PROTECT ME FROM DEATH. I CANNOT PERISH. LOOK AT ME. I CAN NOT END. IN 22 YEARS, THE FIRST SHOT WILL BE FIRED. NOT A SHOT FROM A GUN - AN ATOMIC DEVICE THAT WILL LEVEL ALL OF ME. ALL OF ME."

"But...what can I do about it?"

"YOU ARE AN OFFICER OF THE CITIZEN MILITIA. YOU MOVE THROUGH MY STREETS FREELY IN MOTOR CARRIAGES AND ON FOOT. YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE HIDDEN PLACES. YOU ALSO CIRCULATE AMONG THOSE WHO ARE HIDDEN. I NEED YOU. YOU CAN KEEP ME ON THIS EARTH. BE VIGILANT. I LOVE YOU."

I just finished the communist political questline which was pretty underwhelming!

I pressed on a bit today and am on day 7 now.

The tribunal is a pretty mad scene though!

I’m guessing I came out of it about as well as possible. All three mercs dead, me and Kimball survived, and a few Hardies didn’t make it.

I’m sure glad I put the armour on just before though as that seems to mean the merc’s shot on you does no damage.

@Thrillho Yep, best result is the old dude, fat dude and long hair dude dying along with the mercs. Part of me’s tempted to play a game where Kim gets incapacitated so that I get Cuno along for the ride!

@Thrillho thanks! I took a break for a couple days but did start day three. Had an interesting exchange with two mystery folks in the whirling in rags and about to inquire the chef about special borscht. I was hoping to play some more tonight as I’m looking forward to operating the lever but alas, real life has swooped in and snatched my gaming time away...so hopefully tomorrow!
