STREET FIGHTER 5
after skipping the release because of the well-known Issues (lack of Content, Online Code was unstable) I decided to give it a Chance - Capcom promised a Story Mode (which was pretty cool to be honest) and free DLC Characters.
BUT
after they released the first ones they showed their true face yet again.
No way Capcom - no way.
No way Ill be grinding like 10 hours through a repetitive hell called "Survival Mode" just to unlock enough IngameCurrency to unlock ONE additional character.
Thanks, Im out.
One of my most beloved Video Game Franchises of all time ruined? Check!
Sold my Copy and Im full of Anger. How could you Capcom??? I regret in havin given SF5 a Chance although the whole Internet hated it (lowest Scores all over Meta Amaz and so on).
@Tasuki: When I first started gaming, consoles didn't have multiple games. My father had a BBC Micro B computer and that had games like Donkey Kong and I had a Vic 20. I had a few games bought for me - inc Choplifter on a cartridge but most I typed out myself or saved my Pocket Money for. I had an Atari 2600 but games were expensive so had to make do with a few games and 'trading' with friends for a week. Most of my pocket money, Birthday/Christmas money went on gaming - inc Arcades. By the time the '64' era of gaming (Amstrad CPC464 which I had, Commodore 64 etc), I had a paper round (you could do these at 12-13 then) - earning nearly £10 a week which I gave up after a year to work on a Market Stall as I earned £15 a day (2 days work because of school - but could earn more on a Bank Holiday Monday and Showgrounds were very lucrative). Considering most games were £1.99-£2.99 and a full priced blockbuster cost £9.99-£11.99, I was able to and did buy at least 3-4 games a week. Whilst consoles like the NES and Megadrive were out, it was not 'cool' for someone my age to own a 'kids' toy but we all knew someone with a younger brother so it was accessible and I did get to play quite often. My first Console after going down the computer route was an N64 but by which time, I was in my mid-20's and earning 'good' money. I know that when I was a teenager, I bought many games, just because they were out - a lot of the budget 'codemaster' type games and some were poor or direct clones of another game but I don't regret any as they were almost 'throw-away' games. For £2, if it was 'bad', so what but then you would have a game like Dizzy that balanced it up so to speak. Some of these were 'better' than the AAA games of that era.
I do miss the ability to buy 'game' collections like we had back then - an Ocean collection of 7 or so games in one package. Ies we get the odd remaster collection but not a 'best of' EA, Activision or Ubisoft with a variety of different games in one bundle. Rare Replay was the last I remember and only one this generation (I think). I know we had things like the Sega Megadrive collection but those were 'old' games. The collections back then were generally not that old - admittedly they couldn't exactly go back as far. I remember one collection had Operation Wolf and its Sequel, Commando, 1942 as well as some other games. Finding the start of the game you wanted was a nightmare though as these were all on tape LOL
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
I don't regret very many game purchases, but Metro Redux on PS4 was one of them. Another would be Senran Kagura on 3DS. Oh, and Sonic Gem Collection on GameCube. Those games sucked (except for Sonic CD). Another would be Legend of Kay on Wii U. And Street Fighter V. Obviously. Also Minecraft on Vita, which turned out to not be physical at all! It was a bait and switch, with a digital code in a physical case! Same for Lara Croft Temple of Osiris.
And the worst offender of all... Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival on Wii U.
@Rudy_Manchego:
I grew up on Solar Jetman... I had dreams as a kid of flying a space ship and landing on this strange barren planet at dusk. Never could figure out what game made me have that dream... always thought it was Metroid but you never fly the ship in that game. I didn't find out until a few years ago. It was Solar Jetman from Rare. I can't remember much of it, but I do remember picking up these tanks with my ship and flying off while carrying them.

Surgeon Simulator is still a big regret that I purchased on the PS4 store...other than that, I still regret when I first bought the Wii U (Worst nintendo system I've ever had...ready for the bashing on this one). Other than that, I've been enjoying the PS4 games I bought and my PS3 collection is fine now...if we're going back in the years and generations, I'd Say:
Super Pitfall on NES (horrible)
Mike Tyson's KO Boxing on Genesis (just plain bad)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters on genesis (hard as balls)
ET on Atari (yup, I bought it when it came out)
Seaman on Dreamcast (why oh why)
Hey You Pikachu on N64 (stupid)
Pokemon Channel on Gamecube (waste of money and dumb game)
Sonic The Hedgehog on PS3 (bad camera made it horrible)
Anything that I actually bought on the 360 (hated the system and everything it did and had)
Sea blade on Xbox (horrible graphics and gameplay)
Mortal Kombat 4 on N64 (wasn't meant to be 3D ever)
Zool on Genesis (hard as balls for a kid-friendly platform)
Crash Bandicoot 4 on PS2 (didn't regret it on gamecube, but the PS2's version was horrible loading time)
Ninjabread Man on Wii (obvious as to why)
Family Guy on PS2 (love the show, this game just plain sucked)
Hometown Story on 3DS (bought it and found out 'that's it?')
Conker Live And Reloaded on X-box (cut a little too much from a great game on the N64)

Whoa, you really put some thought into it & have a great memory .
Watchdogs - not for me, sorry.
And any first-person shooter (bought a few in bundles over the years). I know I'm in a minority with FPS but, each to their own eh.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
@JaxonH: What was it that you didn't like about Metro Redux? I'm just curious. I played 2033 and I thought it was a good game.
The only game that I regret buying is Sniper Elite V2 for Wii U. It was horrible, I beat every game that I buy but this one I just couldn't bring myself to keep playing it. The only good thing about this game is the X-Ray cam.
Ya that was me. I know everyone I've ever spoken to liked that game, but I just couldn't stomach the gameplay.
I agree about Sniper Elite v2 though. Add that one to my list as well

I use to play lots of cod2/bo1 etc. Played about a month of advanced warfare just to realize that i was really bored of the whole thing cod thing. Just wasnt feeling it anymore. Then after bo3 had been out for over a year i started really missing playing a competitive fps so i caved and got bo3 but within a week or 2 realized (again) that i just really wasnt into cod anymore and that i had just wasted $70.
