We're running out of 2016 for this game to release in, and I'm running low on games in my backlog . I really hope this game isn't yet another delay to be announced......
... So ... any way for you gaming journalist types to get us lowly readers some news or even a firm release date?
Another Dev Diary released! This game looks really amazing, and as someone who's studied Psychology it also looks really really interesting intellectually.... I really appreciate the lengths they are going to in order to properly represent and let us experience these conditions.

@KratosMD Ratchet and Clank launched at a budget price and that was by all accounts a fantastic game (haven't played it yet). I trust Ninja Theory and from the dev dairy entries it seems like this is a real passion project. At that price I'm more than happy to take a gamble. Imo they want to get the game out there during a lull period and have it sell based on good word of mouth.

@KratosMD AAA games often come with other modes, like MP or Co-op. Some games like the Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 are just 'big' games. This 'could' fall into the former - ie a decent campaign with decent length and all the polish, bells and whistles you expect from a AAA campaign with the unnecessary extras of MP or Co-op. It could be as good as Uncharted 4 without the MP for example...
£25 for a new AAA IP isn't necessarily unreasonable - look at the Order 1886 - £40+ on that!!

Depends on any replayability options - alternative endings, pathways etc. Not just difficulty or collectable hunting reasons.
6-8hrs is incredibly short - look at Blood and Wine - a DLC add-on for the Witcher and how much 'extra' that added. Other games at £25 included Ratchet and Clank. We also had stand-alones like Infamous First Light and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood which were £15.
I am not saying that the 'cost' won't be worth it but I can spend £25 on games that will last a lot more than a day so it would need to be 'exceptional' to warrant that - especially if its Digital only...

If the consensus is good then this will be one of my August purchases. I like the look and want to support original content. I personally don't quantify value by length. By that metric, Mass Effect Andromeda would be one of the best value games at launch!
I think as long as the Developer are honest about the length and reason for pricing it is ok. The price seems to reflect the experience is shorter which is fine with me.

Only really bad reviews will stop me buying at launch. I have a feeling the gameplay might be average but I think they have tried something a bit more original and I kinda want to support that.

anyone had a chance to play yet? apparently if you have surround sound headphones its a bit of a trip..
"They recorded the game with binaural audio, so the psychosis of the main character actually sounds like it's in your head if you have surround headphones. I'd highly recommend the headphones if you're trying to get the full experience. I will warn you though it can be unsettling, but that's the whole point of the experience."

@bbtothe I'm using 3D headphones. Still early doors, but it's fantastic. Got goosebumps on more than one occasion!
They really nailed it. If it keeps it up it might be a GOTY contender for me.
