Just got home with it. Got a completely different Collector's Edition than I thought. Instead of the statue and DLC, I got a box full of stuff- A backpack, beanie, notepad, coinbank, travel cup, a pin, and a blanket. Mildly disappointed, but I should've checked to see if GameStop sold the same one that this site reported, so it's my bad. It also explains why I paid less than the reported price.

@KratosMD Cool theme! Is there Spider-Man background music with it?

@BAMozzy I've not yet played this so have no opinion of my own, but could it be that many reviewers are considering this to be more than the sum of its parts? I guess these days it is easy for Ubisoft games to be criticised, but they do feel routine and at times dull. Perhaps other elements of Spider-Man have elevated it in the minds of many reviewers.

Question guys , is anyone having a extra long boot up screen for Spiderman ? On the PS4 main menu I click on the SM logo of course then it goes to the page were it shows him with the web then it's like just frozen there for an extended period of time then it finally stars the game , im using a Pro .

@KratosMD "It's worth noting that 20 hours is the average taken from multiple play testers. Stevenson wrote that 20 hours is about how long it takes for someone to beat Spider-Man on the default difficulty and only when completing some quests and activities. Those that do more will take "a lot longer." So the 20 hour mark is for the average player who's not looking to test themselves against the game's most challenging combat or complete every optional objective."

So far I'm not very impressed with this game. The combat is like a less-good version of Arkham, and playing this game on Normal mode, I found the first boss to be really hard, I died a lot. Even just fighting the thugs feels harder than it should be this early on. Also...it seems like there are button delays when swinging around the city

@AdamantiumClaws I'm on easy and I think I died 12 times in the opening sequence...

I reserve judgment but so far I'm glad I rented it.

I restarted the game on easy. Glad I'm not alone!

The 20H actually makes me want to more. It sounds perfect with more to do if you desire. It’s not bloated and overly long like most games are.

@Jaz007 I agree. I felt Fallout 4, while very fun was bloated and too long.

@beemo I keep wondering if I should shell out for a PS4 pro. I just bought an external though so that would be a waste. I'm mainly just annoyed by how loud my original model is.

I've been playing it for most of today (What a shock, right?), and so far I've been enjoying my time with it. It's nothing that hasn't been done before, but it's a very entertaining package. It's a fun title to kick back to, I think.

I just finished the mission where Silver Sable is introduced. I'm not sure what percentage I'm at, but hopefully I'm not done too quickly.

I feel the same way. After having played it for 4 hours I'd rather just go back to playing my other games. I mean, the game is really fun but we're in such a busy period now in terms of game releases for PS4 that I'd rather just focus on playing certain games right now. The game is simply not capturing my interest due to all the other games I could be playing.

I might actually put it aside for now and just go back to playing Persona 5, but we'll see.

Persona 5 > other games and life.

It's one of those games that's just flat out fun plain and simple. It's probably not going to be my GOTY but will really enjoy my time with it.

Probably by some. It's really good tho. I actually like the combat better than the Batman games because Spidey can do things a "powerless" human can't. Swinging through the city is every bit as good as people have said. You can fast travel but I have no desire too because it's just so fun.
