Mafia 3 = HHHYYYYYYPPPPEEEE! Is what I've been saying a lot on the site lately. But does it live up to it? So the sequel to my favourite game of all time has finally arrived and I am wondering what people's opinions on the game so far are. Mine are down below:
Been playing for about an hour now. Seems very very good so far. We're in good hands! The driving is absolutely on point still and the combat/shooting is very engaging. The combat is visceral and you can pull off lots of fun brutal takedowns with a huge variety of animations. The gameplay itself is actually similar to Mafia 2 itself. The story and characters is also looking to be excellent. The way it's presented and the way characters are introduced is very unique and interesting. I'm not sure about the actual world as I have only really been in the shanty district so I'm not sure how it compare to the beloved empire bay yet. Haven't met Vito, Cassandra or Burke yet. It's also great how the developer has the courage to really investigate the racism and discrimination of the 60's and they really don't hold back. I have not encountered any bugs or glitches so far. However, I know that PC users are having problems at the moment. My one complaint is I bought the deluxe edition and it is a shame it doesn't include any physical items like an artbook. I definately think you should buy this game. Big thumbs up!
