So, I had just received a message from Amazon today that they won't be able to ship the Persona 5 - PlayStation 4 "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition internationally.

Was hoping if anyone can recommend any other retailers in the UK that still has this edition available for pre-order since I have a friend living in Manchester which might be able to help me purchase it.

What does it have that is considered dangerous?

@Tasuki That's the thing, its just the game, soundtrack, plush doll, an art book plus a school bag. :/

That sucks, I had a quick look through a few retailers I've used in the past and managed to find somewhere still selling it, albeit at a slight premium (~£79 instead of £70). The place is shopto.net and all the other retailers I checked were either more expensive or sold out.

@Dichotomy Yeah, worst thing about it is that it it was only $76.50 (USD) when I pre-ordered it. I think the original price was either $90 or $100.

@WanderingBullet I've got the same thing pre-ordered from UK Amazon. It's still looking like the order is going ahead. I say that but the last two I made with them (HZD and Nier) both were delayed.
I think it's their way of saying: we've oversold and now need to deal with that somehow, either by delaying and getting more stock or if no more can be obtained to come up with a silly (non)reason. I'd be pretty upset.

@finalstan Sometimes Amazon tends to restock a few days before the release date, which is what I'm hoping for.

@WanderingBullet did you contact amazon customer services? There was a mistake by amazon and its since been rectified in relation to the heart edition.

@themcnoisy Thanks, man! I didn't even know that other people had encountered the same problem. Unfortunately, it's still listed as "Currently unavailable". Will keep a closer eye on the stock status now that the issue has been cleared up. Hopefully they'll restock it. The only con is that I'll probably have to pay the full price (unless they lowered it again) of $90.

Very strange that apparently the Steelbook Edition had the same issue as well.

So, yeah. Persona 5 is shaping up to be PS4 GOTY material. As expected.

So it looks like I'm double dipping.
Just preordered from the PlayStation Store despite having already put down a deposit for my steelbook edition (which is actually £5 cheaper than the digital version!). I've got the day off work so I want to get started as soon as possible (preload). I guess i'll just delete the digital edition when I do manage to pick up my steelbook and carry on my game from there- hoping for no Day1 patch!

NiOh is my GOTY so far, followed by Horizon and Gravity Rush 2. Think P5 is about to upset the apple cart...

@kyleforrester87 That's basically it haha. I do value games differently though. In general £1 for every 1 hour and it seems like P5 will easily meet that quota.

It's also good to have a digital copy just in case. I'm certain the PS5 will be backwards compatible with digital PS4 titles at the very least.

I may not have a PS4, but my hype for this game is through the roof. I'm usually patient with games but it felt like it took forever to arrive.

@Fight_Teza_Fight I doubt the PS5 would be backwards compatible - (1) Sony has come out and said frankly that people think they want this but don't actually use it - which makes sense. Beyond the transition period you won't use this much, and designing the system or adding cost for a couple months worth of value doesn't make sense, and (2) PS Now will be their answer, allowing you to stream previous gen titles instead of making them compatible.

Persona 5 really seems to have a lot more mainstream visibility than previous entries. Perhaps this is the game that will make ATLUS more of a household name?

They deserve it. I personally think they're the most consistently excellent Japanese dev out there.

Strange thing just happened today. I had just received my Persona 5 "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition and Amazon did not even send me a notification of any kind even though they said that my order was cancelled.

After reading reviews and opinions on this, I decided to jump in and preorder this but it's now 'unavailable' on Amazon (where I usually get stuff from). It must be popular!!!
