Topic: PS2 Classics On PS4 Still A Thing?

@get2sammyb: Me neither, companies seem to be happy to allow their games on xbox's BC despite making no next to no money from it but don't seem to be in a rush to have their games PS2 and PS3 games on PS4 and PS Now where they will make money.

@adf86: I'm going to guess there's less work involved there. Still!

@adf86: I bet they get a noticeable bump in digital sales and (if the game isn't too expensive) physical sales over Amazon or something. Also, it's not without its benefits. Like, lets say someone's first console is an Xbox1. She doesn't know what Red Dead Redemption or Dark Souls is. By trying out the older (and much cheaper) game the company could suddenly get a fan who is willing to buy future titles at full retail price.

btw, I've never played Red Dead Redemption, but now that it's backwards compatible on Xbox, I might give it a try.

edit: errr, but this is only a response to why they might be happy to have Xbox BC. I have no idea why they don't do that with Sony. Maybe Sony would rather push PS Now? (o_O )

@Utena-mobile: The reason Sony doesn't do BC with PS4 is because PS3 was a cell arctitype where as PS4 isn't. Thus making BC impossible.

BC is a bit of a gimick for Xbox. Its a nice thing to have and to say our console does this but how many users actually use it?

Has anybody played Everybodys Tennis? I had a quick go last night and its loads of fun. I wasn't expecting the game to hold up so well (never played it on ps2) but I'm happy to say it does and for the paltry £5 I paid for it, possibly bargain of the year!

@Kyroki: Fancy a game sometime? Actually I haven't checked if you can play online lol. Everybody should buy it.

@themcnoisy: Yes, on Vita. Quite enjoyed it. Not as good as Everybodies Golf though. Might get it now since its on sale eh?
