Topic: So what are you expecting from Gamescon this Year?

So what do you guys want from Gamescom this year for PS4 and Vita?

I have absolutely no clue what Sony is doing with Vita at this point, and sadly, I don't think it does either. I know there are some games I'm looking forward to but I don't expect much in the way of new announcements despite what has been said. Would love to be wrong, but it is what it is at this point.

As for PS4, I don't really know what games will be shown, but I'm thinking there will be some new stuff. Naughty Dog has two teams and now that The Last of Us is released maybe Sony will use Gamescom to start hyping up ND's next project.

I don't know anymore about the vita. I will have the lowest expectations now. For the PS4 i hope to hear more about Santa monica studios now that god of war is a thing of the past. I really liked god of war but after god of war III i thought they had to do something new. Naughty dog: I never get tired of nathan drake so give me more uncharted Imagine uncharted 4 something with those specs in the ps4

Yup whatever Naughty Dog does will be awesome, I'm sure Uncharted 4 is next up.

Im really curious, I'd like to see that "deep down" thing from capcom to be honest. And yes, the obvious like you others just stated, ND and Santa Monica's next projects.

I'll be grabbing a used Vita off of ebay, but Sony needs to show support at Gamescom. Sony has said that Gamescom will be a Vita focused show.

Unfortunately I don't think were going to see alot of Vita support until the PS3 is dead. Right now Sony really needs to pull a microsoft and have most of their developers go to Vita/PS4 development. Hell I think a few of the games announced for PS3 should have been cross play or Vita only games. (Rain, Puppeteer, etc)

Beyond and GT 6 should be the last of the 'big' games published by Sony on the PS3. Everything after has to be PS4 and Vita. Just like with 360, third parties will release more than enough cross-gen content to keep the PS3 relevant while Sony slowly phases the machine out.

Is Gamescon an "announcement" kinda event? I always considered it to be a less mainstream convention to just show off what we already know is in production and show technical demos. I don't think there'll be any surprises. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm expecting a PS4 launch date (My guess is the last week of November), and outside of that, not very much. Both Sony and Microsoft showed all of their hands for E3. I'd be shocked if any new AAA first party games get announced. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for an Infamous spin-off for vita though!

SOny can still announced PSN exclusive stuff at launch. I mean there has to be new entry in the wipeout or that Golf game series.

Sony might've played its launch hand but it has several first party and second party studios, including Naughty Dog, that haven't announced anything yet for PS4. So it's possible Sony has more to show.

Since gamescom is usually a showcase for european games I guess we could see some stuff from Sony's studios.

-Guerilla Games showing off Killzone Shadow Fall Multiplayer.
-More Drive Club info from Evolution studios
-Maybe WIpeout or whatever liverpool was working on
-Media Molecule's new IP
-London Studio (I'm guessing they made playroom)

Every announcement for the PS4 is an announcement for the Vita, right? That and all of the great indie games, what more could you really ask for? If remote play works properly owning the Vita will be very, very awesome. I don't know why people are still down on it or disappointed.

A release date and some more awesome games with PS4 would be cool. Maybe along with some bundles to save some money come launch.
