It does seem far too close to release to see any real big price change. I can get over the graphics if the gameplay and story are top notch. Here's hoping!
@Beard-Crumbs I can't fault your enthusiasm! Hopefully it lives up to your expectations. I may swing back round again, Obsidian may able to polish things up by day 1. You are right, sometimes a game can such great gameplay thst you can overlook the jank.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Started playing this game last night and from what I did play it is Fallout in SPAAAACE lol. I didn't get to far (got to the first settlement) but controls felt good and the graphics are gorgeous. The humor is there as well. Going to be putting in some hours on this one. Right now I built a stealthy medical character who's good with rifles.
I’m glad to hear the game has got good feedback so far and sounds free from any serious bugs. It’s another one on my to-play list for sure but not a day one (or near enough) purchase.
@Genrou loving this game so far, only a few hours in but it's clear already that character build and your own actions are going to be far more important than on any recent RPG. I've just modded my stolen assault rifle to fire electric bullets and it's so good 😁
@carlos82 Yeah, it's great having choice again that was my problem with Fallout 4 and why New Vegas is still my favorite Fallout. I only got about an hour into the game but already I can tell this is going to be on my GOTY list for this year.
The review, combined with the comments in this thread, are really making me want to get this. It sounds like everything my life has been missing since I completed New Vegas.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
@carlos82 I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas, played them to death. I enjoyed Fallout 4 but it was lacking something, and I only played through it once as a result (although I still put over a hundred hours into it)
I'm really liking the sound of the player choice and dialogue options. One of my favourite things about Fallout 3/NV was the ability to reply with a jokey comment, even when someone has just asked you to retrieve their dead partner's wedding ring or something.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
@KratosMD That's understandable and I see where you are coming from. For me there weren't really any games that were must plays. Of course there was Dragon Quest XI but other then Modern Warfare The Outer Worlds was the game I was looking forward to the most this year. Death Stranding has no interest to me as I am not a fan of Kojima's games and personal think he's overrated, so I don't have to worry about that. But yeah I highly recommend at some point playing The Outer Worlds.
As for not having the bugs.Bethesda games have well, that because it's not done by Bethesda.
@Gremio108 this sounds like it'll be right up your street then, plenty of optional dialogue and you can be as nasty or nice as you want to be. I've even just finished a side quest, and out of curiosity spoke to the affected people afterwards to find they all had extra dialogue referring to the events that unfolded
Older than I care to remember but have been gaming since owning a wooden Atari 2600 and played pretty much everything inbetween.
Played a few hours on Game Pass for PC and then caved and bought it on PS4 haha. I don't know what it is but I for the life of me can not get into PC gaming. I have tried countless times. The whole time I was playing it I was thinking man I wish I was playing this on PS4...
As for the game, I'm enjoying it so far dumping all my skills into dialogue. I love talking my way out of things or getting more info in games likes this.
@Splat It usually helps if you have a gaming PC to play games on. Otherwise console will be better.
As for the game. Played a few more hours on it last night. Still in Edgewater but I did a few quests there. Got my first pristine weapon, a stun baton and a fire pistol which is alot of fun.
I am enjoying the game so much that I want to find out more about the world such the back lore. It's a shame the don't have novels for The Outer Worlds.
