@FullbringIchigo Yh it's tough balancing multiple games. I've got FFXII, SkyrimVR, MGS2 & Zelda currently on the go. Haven't managed to put any time into Skyrim or Zelda the last couple of days.
I asked because I got stuck against a certain boss & had to grind for like 5 hours as I was flying through the game.
I regret focusing solely on upping my base stats. Lesson learned.

@DerMeister@FullbringIchigo@Fight_Teza_Fight This is why I tend to focus on only one game at a time, two max. Otherwise I start to lose focus and sometimes forget about the story/controls or what's going on etc.
Especially since I don't have much free time left anymore, been working 10 or even 12 hour shifts at my Amazon warehouse job.
@Fight_Teza_Fight@ToddlerNaruto yeah i know what you mean, i work retail and it's all hands on deck over Christmas so my free time is also short right now, i get a few hours before bed and that's it
as for FF12, yeah if you just increase your base stats your going to struggle, the licence board and your choice of Amour and Weapons are really important as are your gambits, an unbalanced team can mean disaster although i always find having at least one character concentrating on healing and buffing really helps
also with the Zodiac Age version it's actually a good idea to make one of your characters both a healer and a tank that way they can take loads of damage while they keep your party healthy (say give someone the White Mage and Uhlan jobs, giving them access to high level White Magicks and Heavy Amour for defence)

"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!
@ToddlerNaruto I'm a bit like that. I only play one game per platform. Just overwhelmed at the minute as Zelda, SkyrimVR & to an extent FFXII are all open world games. Easy to waste time doing open world busywork.
@FullbringIchigo I'm completely overleveled now. Whilst experience scales down in respect to your level, the far more important LPs stay the same. Add the equipment that doubles LP and your gonna have a good time .
I really do love the license board. It's probably my favourite mechanic of the game.
I already have Vann (& another) as a White Mage/Knight- he's a beast.

Currently it is Fallout 4 with my first playthrough with mods. I am using 11 and there is no issues other than the old ones like idiot settlers and frame drops in some city locations. The no fog, no god rays, and clear weather mods makes the game very much more enjoyable for me and improves the frame rates in areas of Far Harbor that after patches still had frame rate problems.
The Scap That Settlement mods adds more scraping and should be the default scraping. Other mods allow for all perks and special points as soon as you leave vault 111, no AP used with jetpack, Sanctuary bridge repair, and clean clear water.
One mod i wish for is a scope mod that would provide a scope that zooms from short to long, and has a reticle that i can easily see. If also featuring no sway and being able to toggle between night and day and i would break out into my happy dance.
@ToddlerNaruto I understand where you're coming from, but on the other hand I need to play multiple games for multiple moods and/or situations. I like games that are heavy on story, but I'm not in the mood for something like that after a long day. So I also need a game to blow off steam too. And then there's also my partner, with whom I often game together. So, I need a game to play together too.
That's a minimum of three games at any given moment, I think. And then there's also some games I play in the background, like a few lost trophies I need to hunt or a multiplayer game. It often adds up to 4~5.
I feel sorry your currently playing backlog is so big, hopefully you can dwindle it down to just a few soon.

Amazon has been forcing us to work 10-12 hour mandatory shifts five days in a row, so I feel your pain and then some.

For me it's God of War series PS3, Ratchet & Clank/Uncharted 4 PS4, and Just Cause 1 Xbox 360.
I haven't touched God of War series or Just Cause 1 360 in many weeks though.
@ToddlerNaruto before i moved to retail i was working in a Bar, my average working week was 7 days (they got round the working law as in the UK the law is 11 hours between shifts so if i had a 6am-3pm shift on a Monday, i would start work 3pm on the Tuesday) so trust me i know your pain
i was doing up to 60 hours a week at times ESPECIALLY over holidays

I've been trying to get stuck in AC:Origins lately but t this game just isn't doing it for me. I generally have really enjoyed previous AC games (even Unity!) but I just can't get into this. The story isn't really pulling me in, I feel like you find out who your next target is then bam! Your in a position to kill them while the game does nothing to build up these characters or really drive home a point of making them "evil". Egypt is pretty cool place to explore although it doesn't interest me as much as the cities in previous games and this coupled with the lack of a good story are dragging it down. Anyone else feel this?
@Hego Woah, it’s the first AC Origins buzzkill I think I’ve read. I haven’t played the game, but bought it during Black Friday to add to my backlog. I have been excited to try it due to the relatively universal praise. I have not played an AC game since Black Flag because I didn’t care for that one and my excitement for the series died with Desmond. I’ll be interested to hear if AC:O fell flat with anyone else as I may have to move it lower down the backlog hierarchy.
@Fight_Teza_Fight@ToddlerNaruto@FullbringIchigo I have usually played about 3 games at a time, sometimes up to 5, but usually if I go over 3, that means a couple of them are essentially going to the graveyard, never to be completed (RIP Batman Arkham Knight and No Man’s Sky...) and I have tried to do one short game, one medium game, and one long game as far as what those three are. But every now and then one of the games makes me obsessive and I just can’t pull away to do any others. That’s happening right now with NieR Automata. Outside of a few hours with Persona 5 a couple weeks ago, I have just immersed myself exclusively in NieR Automata since I started it.

At least you weren't doing alot of physical labor and walking/running around inside a massively huge warehouse though. Amazon has me loading trucks via stacking boxes into walls, moving along packages via upstairs conveyor belt, and also scanning and "sorting" packages into big boxes or "pallets".

You should seriously give Batman: Arkham Knight another try if you still have the game. It's one of the first M rated PS4 games I plan on playing asap.
@ToddlerNaruto I still have the game. I played it for about 4-5 hours before abandoning it. I loved Arkham Asylum and especially Arkham City. For some reason Arkham Knight didn’t hold me. I will probably try it again one day if time allows, but I have it low on the list now — behind NieR (current), Gravity Rush 2, The Last Guardian, Hellblade, Yakuza 0, Witcher 3, Assassins Creed Origins, Danganronpa V3, FFXV .... to name a few. Geez that looks pathetic when I start listing them all together like that. I’m hopeless.

I have 98 PS4 games in my backlog so trust me you're fine.
@ToddlerNaruto Dude, you’ve definitely got the “Backlog of the Year” award wrapped up! That’s a lot of really good games to play.
So what percentage of your PS4 collection is digital versus physical discs? You’d need an entire closet for them if they were all physical.
And how are you deciding what order to play them in?

Thanks, it took me from April to now to build it up. I think the most I spent on a PS4 game was Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY Edition for $48 New. Everything else I waited and got dirt cheap during sales for $10-$25 New or it was given to me as a gift.
Also "Backlog of the Year" XD. I love that lol. I'd definitely be a top candidate . Especially after my birthday (January 18), I should own 110+ PS4 games easily.
Honestly, I only own 26 digital games, everything else is 100% physical. I had to buy a "storage media tower" to house the games. I can link a picture later if you want, up to you.
I'm going in age rating order from the games I want to play the most first. So E/E10 first, then Teen, and finally Mature. I'm playing Uncharted 4 now and then I'll jump back to E games with Ratchet & Clank.
@ToddlerNaruto Sweet! How do you like UC4? It’s one of my favorites this gen. along with its little sister Lost Legacy. And I ended up liking Ratchet & Clank a lot more than I thought I would. I played it a few months ago and would like to see a sequel.
It would be interesting to see your tower since I just throw my games in a box 😆, but it’s okay, don’t worry about the pic since we don’t need to derail the thread too much. I’d be interested to hear your impressions of the 2 games you’re playing though since I liked them both a lot.

@Th3solution I'm still getting used to the PS4 controller, but so far UC4 is alright. I love that both the gameplay and cutscenes blend into each other so effortlessly.
As for R&C, I've been a huge fan of the series since I got my first PS2 and a copy of the game for my 11th birthday back in January 2001. I've owned, played, and beaten every single entry except for Secret Agent Clank sadly...maybe one day I'll try and replay it again.
My Storage Media Tower:
I do apologize for my room being a mess, I haven't had time to clean it much since I started working five 12 hour shifts weekly at Amazon and also having to do 3-4 hours of commute on a daily basis.
@ToddlerNaruto
Nice! I recognize a few of your fantasy novels on the bookshelf too
Well, definitely play Lost Legacy. It’s shorter but in some ways even better than UC4. Maybe take an Uncharted break for a while if you need to. And enjoy R&C!
As for me, back to my second playthrough of NieR Automata!

Played several matches of CoD: WWII this weekend mostly to work on some of the Winter Siege challenges. Played the game mode gridiron which to my surprised I enjoyed alot. Kinda wish they had a hardcore version but as chaotic as the matches get it might be a good thing that they don't as I am sure people would be getting kicked alot for killing teammates.

@Th3solution Thanks! I don't read much anymore though sadly, unless I don't have a TV or computer near me, which is pretty rare these days.
Oh I plan on playing Lost Legacy for sure, probably after I beat all of my E/E10 rated games first. I've got Ratchet & Clank, both Kingdom Hearts collections, World of Final Fantasy, 7 LEGO games, Knack 1 & 2, both MegaMan Legacy Collections, and finally Kung Fu Panda Showdown of Legendary Legends.
Lucky! I almost got NieR Automata for $25 during BF sales, but Fry's canceled my order and charged me $7.50 for no reason.
I unfortunately have to run through a second Mastermind difficulty run of Fracture But Whole since the trophy did not pop the first time for the plat. Shouldn't take more than 10 hours I figure with skipping cut scenes and knowing where to go. Other than that it will probably just be replaying Bayonetta on PS3 and mixing in some Fifa 18 on PS4 till Xmas games arrive.
