@velio84 yea I sorta figured. I’m using all of Radahn’s gear, armor and weapons, with medium load and it is just wrecking. They can’t balance for this I guess… but its a shame. I don’t wanna move onto other games, they just can’t live up to this.
Just finished this off tonight. The last part of the game was interesting but I can now see why others felt the way they did with regards to how it all wraps up.
All in all it’s been fun spending time in the Lands Between and I might take on an NG+ at some point and have a play around with different builds. Who knows, I might still have a chance to get slapped by Will Smith.
A slightly frustrating boss as the first phase is so easy and a pain in the posterior to have to do each time. Second phase is just not getting an unlucky hit from a spell.
@Thrillho I felt the same annoyance with Rennala as when you get beaten you just want to get back into phase 2 as soon as possible. Well done for getting that far so quickly though.
@velio84 this video might be useful just for pointers in terms of strategy (or if you're like me your reaction might be "welp, guess I'm just bad at Elden Ring" )
@velio84 the worst part is I started on launch day and only finished my first playthrough of Elden Ring last night - whereas 3 WEEKS ago (the game hadn't even been out for a month by then), this guy was already steamrolling malenia at level 1 lol
Started NG+ at the beginning of the week and breezed through most of the starting content. Tbh most bosses fell like flies before my new respecced arcane/int/dex build armed with two rapiers (and the Dark Moonlight Sword). As was said before the lore makes much more sense now and I tried to trigger most of the interactions I missed on my first run, also found some new dungeons and stuff... Man I love this game =]
@johncalmc Honestly NG+ just isn’t balanced well at all. I’m armed with Radahn’s gear (both weapons and armor) and am just flying through the game to the point where its not fun. Even shardbearer bosses are trivial.
Side note, for Rykard - turns out that if you stand right next to him in his fire pit you don’t take much damage and almost all his attacks can’t hit you except the whirl in phase 1 and the stupid skulls in p2. I almost beat him without using the special weapon because he couldn’t hit me.
Joseph Anderson's lengthy (over an hour and a half) review/critique video is out on YouTube for anyone interested. Don't watch it if you haven't beaten the game!
